if you thought that was disrespectful, do you want the picture of me peeing on his grave?
Oh my goodness!!! You need a barrow to carry those brass balls of yours around in!!

i have a bread machine and have been experimenting with it this week.
my first breads were really dense and heavy.
they were ok but definitely not great.. so i went to the books and they said the liquids need to be lukewarm not cold from the fridge.. so after yet another white bread heavy i just tried a raisin bread recipe.. ok i'm addicted.
Lady Lee I love bread from bread machines. It's so yummy!
We set ours so that we have freshly baked bread ready for us when we wake up in the morning... Let me tell you there is nothing like waking up to a house smelling of bread!
you all have been so helpful in the past with these things...and i have another "how to deal" question.... ok, we have been faded for a while now.
we have pumkins out for halloween, as well as fun decorations...the problem is..we got an anniversary card today in the mail from some old witness friends where we used to live...they wish they could visit...they are prone to drop by un announced...so..have any of you had any sucess of "warning" old witness friends that you have changed?.
we are still trying not to get disfellowshiped for family reasons.
Hi Cab...
My closest friends realised I had stopped going to meetings. There were many tears shed and lot of emotions all over the place. But the Body of Elders claimed they had no idea that I had faded away. After not going to a meeting for 18 months they made contact with me (they heard I found a boyfriend) and started fishing for things to get me on. It really gave me the cranks... It's been about 2 years now. I know they still watch. They speak to my mother trying to get dirt on me. But mum doesn't know whats going on in my life. In fact I can't even have my mother around to visit in case she sees something that would go against her JW trained conscience and somehow get back to the elders.
Its a matter of just watching your step carefully. I worry every weekend that they will knock on my door for sure today but they don't. But it does weigh on my mind.
have any of you guys heard of flat eric.. i was giving this yellow ball of fun by a friend who travelled in europe and the uk.
they tell me he was quite big over there.
but i have no idea what his story is.... but he's such a cute toy.

But he's such a cute toy. I keep him at work and he is our new mascot... (the boys are always making changes appropriate to the time of year. Currently he is dressed as a jockey and has a horse in preparation for Melbourne Cup...)
newbie here, a lil about me......grew up around the jw religion, never was baptized but i did get to the level of "unbaptized publisher" once, as of now i dont attend any "meetings", but still get the watchtowers and awakes pushed to me by family members.
it's actually been 3 years since i realized that it wasnt the "truth", even though i've probably have known it all along.
my question to the groups is, how long did it take you to stop calling it "the truth"?
When I first started looking exJW sites I went to another forum and posted a comment. I included a reference to 'the truth' and was immediately flamed by the other board members. I felt really welcomed there! LOL
But it made me concious of it. Now I just hate hearing the term. I think its very presumptious to claim what you have is the truth.
hey everybody!!
*feins a nick riviera (a la the simpsons) accent* .
i'm new to these forums.
Hey ya... welcome to the forum. There are some regular NZ posters here and I am sure they will pop their heads in to say hi.
Meanwhile I am just across the ocean in Australia... There is a few of us here too.
Look forward to hearing more from you!

I don't think that is what is at issue here... Rather it is that a man made organisation that claims to be God's is once again causing divisions between families.
Cab I understand what you are going through. I too have faded because I have family still in that religon. I choose to celebrate holidays etc but wonder if at times it may inadvertantly lead to my disphellowshipping which would result in my loved ones shunning me...
hehehe.... Nice one Steve and nice one HL for getting him to pose.
Waiting for the Bethel pics next....
yeehah!!!!
yes, i'm tired of being gay, its time for me to be heterosexual.. among the seminars i have signed up for are:.

Hey Joel
I told my friend at work about this seminar he wants to know... Where can he sign up!?!
hehehe
do you ever feel that your fed up with your friends and you would rather just be alone as they are too much maintenace.. i know its prob because im stressed bout the wedding but i really cant cope with them anymore.
one of my bridesmaids (my best friend) has kinda just turned this round to her day.
she is a tom boy so she is really excitied bout getting dressed up and i dont begrudge her that but its turned into almost like her debut heheh.
Oh Es you have scared me now hon!
My boyfriend and I have been discussing getting married in about 12 months time. I've thought about all the preperation and cost and seriously eloping sounds so perfectly ideal. But he wants a full on proper wedding.... (Doesn't it usually work the other way around.)
See this is a perfect example of why I don't want a big wedding.... Shame on you Es... I want to hear about all butterflies and sunshine wedding stories!!!! LOL
