most of you know about my mother, she passed away from this world 17 yrs ago tomorrow, sept. 15, 1985. her passing was very hard on my sister and me , because it was a suicide.

she had been a witness for 16 years and even almost died standing up for the blood issue in 1983, due to a stomach ulcer, and too many asprins.

her blood count went down to 2 and she had to be put in a lear jet to get to houston, tx.

Lyineyes that was such a sad touching story. I feel the org should be made accountable for things of this nature. My step-mother's sister lost her eldest daughter in a bad road accident, she needed blood. The elders were there and put pressure on them, they did not consent, Margaret died as a result. It tore the family apart. Roy and Shelia divorced. Shelia became what the borg labels as an apostate. So she went on to lose her other two daughters. They shun her now. These stories all are very sad. She travelled from Australia one year to protest outside of Bethel. I wonder how many people have lost their lives because of their stupid rules.The more i learn the angrier i become. Anyway, i hope you have lots of good memories of your mum.

does anyone know why the new world translation omits john 8:1-11?

Maybe they think that if there was no one sinless to cast the first stone, then maybe no one would be left at the Kingdom Hall.

I still don't understand why they don't incorporate the scriptures in the WTS teachings.

Well, I guess it is because they are corrupt!

simon i'm sorry i don't mean to rain on your parade but you have to remember the society and your local elders watch for stuff like that.

this is a very liberal board as far as discussions go and forever thankful for that, but you have to be careful because you could face a jd meeting.

i'm sure everyone is well aware that some posts on this board just wouldn't go over to well with the society.

Poll: Another attack on the US???

ok everyone...what is everyones opinion on terrorism...i myself, feel that something else is going to happen, possibly on 9/11/02....what is everyone else's thoughts....not necessarily the same as mine...but does anyone think another attack will come?

if so what do you think, and when?

I think the INS needs to tighten up its laws. It is currently a bumbling bureaucracy, that does not know what the other hand is doing. I mean they actually gave a couple of visas to those plane blowing goons. Americans are the most hated, laughed-at peoples on the face of the earth. And maybe not tomorrow, but one day in the future this is sure to happen again. The INS needs to make it impossible for these people to enter this great land.
