Don't tug on Superman's cape, don't spit into the wind, don't pull the mask of the ol' Lone Ranger, and don't mess around with Slim. Seriously, I'm loosing my judgementalism. With that comes the ability to stick up for others that may not think like I do. I don't have to be right all the time. It's too much responsiblilty. It's too much work to keep up apperances. I'm learning to like me.

Dungeons and Dragons game & JW urban legends
by rebel8 indoes anyone remember this game from (i think) the early '80s?
it's a role playing game of some sort that included some violent imagery or something.. i remember jws (and the media, come to think of it) making a big, big deal of it.
something like it was demonized or made kids murder people.

I wonder if there aren't a lot of secret 'Goreans' within the elders ranks. The societies view of women conforms nicely to Gor and it's philosophy.

I had the option today of going out in service, or chewing a ball of tinfoil. My dilemma is regular or heavy duty.

Terry, that was great! Better yet, how about a movie or a mini-series.
If I had the money and the connections, I would have you write the screenplay and get Joel and Ethan Coen to direct. John Goodman is a no brainer for the part of the Judge. Who would you cast as Charlie?

How Brainwashed Were You??
by Legolas ini will give you an example of what i mean.....two 'sisters' were gone away for the day and they were doing some shopping...there was a used clothing store and it was called something like "the church corner"...keep in mind it was not an old church, nothing religious about it at all.
but one of the 'sisters woulgn't go into it because of the name!!!
so do any of you have stories like that??

I think Pith helmets would be more their style, after all, the Governing Body are just a bunch of pith heads
Yes, but aren't they resplendent?

Questions You Could NEVER Ask Your Elders
by minimus injwd is great for giving us the opportunity to ask questions and get answers to things that you could never ask in a kingdom hall.
what are some questions that are simply taboo amongst the "friends"?

'Is wait on Jehovah the best advice you got?'

What a lovely voice stilled. I had no idea he was gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I remember his lovely voice singing with Ernie on Sesame Street. The interaction he had with the muppet was so gentle and loving. He must have been as lovely inside as his singing was for us to enjoy.
