An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...
by Doubtfully Yours inan elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

Modalism vs. Trinitarianism (which one stands better against JW doctrine?)
by Ianone inmodalistic monarchianism, also known as modalism, is the view that god variously manifested himself as the father (primarily in the old testament), other times as the son (primarily from jesus?
conception to his ascension), and other times as the holy spirit (primarily after jesus?
ascension into heaven).

I think this is the issue of misunderstood semantic which is often out of realm of knowledge for most people not familiar with either Greek or Hebrew. Unfortunately, these are precisely the ones having heated debate about trinity, no offence intended. However, your best clue is in the book of Genesis 1:26 where God is quoted as saying
?Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness?
Got it yet?
If the man was created in God?s image then it would imply that man also has a form of trinity within himself, or replica thereof if you wish, which is a powerful statement against any Trinitarian nature of god. Who among you has two, three or more personalities i.e. two, three or more living and distinct consciousnesses or beings as part of your makeup???
In fact, today we consider it as disease if someone claims to have multiple personalities within himself and we call it MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER
IF IN DOUBT CHECK THIS OUT

UN/Watchtower/Who/
by Voyager inaccording to my little cousin who was (never) one of jehovah's witnesses, i have been doing my (research) wrong.
he told me that if i wanted to find out information about the watchtower and the united nations, then i would need to start typing in (numbers) instead of letters and words into my search engines.
here is what he told me!-----see below:.

Ok, I?ll probably make many enemies by saying this, so please take this as my professional deformation.
I like to see irrefutable and concrete evidence about subject at hand and one thing that I do hate is shadowy research. WT org has been guilty of such a poor scholarship in many instances, but right now I see some of you making the same judgment mistake. Just because they?ve used UN plane doesn?t mean a thing, so what if they used a plane??? So did many other organizations but that didn?t make them a part of UN. In such situation UN is know to assist any orgs whose cause is humanitarian aid.
You?ve gotta be careful with your research. By all means share information but I?d advise be careful how you interpret what you see. Any shadowy research presented here may also be used by other side as evidence that we don?t know what we are talking about when we are talking about other things such as WT and NGO membership or alike.
Peace, bros

Will married partners reunite at resurrection? And what does that imply.
by cyborgVision inhi everybody, since this is my first post i hope everyone is going to be kind to me :) .
one thing that kind of bothers me, and i?ve seen it bothering many honest jws (yes there are such ones) is whether they should remarry after their mate dies.
it is the issue that, in my experience, many do not even dare to confront, at least from older generation.

Thanx Golf, Hope I'll be a Jedi Master one of these days too ;)
I love these cute labels this forum assignsWhich is also a good point for discussion one of these days i.e. if Star Wars makes greater positive impact on individuals than WT org.
Now that's a thought -

First of all I want to apologies for accidentally posting this question twice, well I?m just a newbie so I hope I?ll be forgiven ;)
Thank you tijkmo and purplesofa for excellent feedback in the clone thread.
CLONE THREADI think this question hits right into the nerve of what each one of us holds dear and what in reality we all want to live for, marriage, children or some shadowy existence, or in essence what is the real purpose of life.
If we want to believe the Genesis account then it would also imply that at least theoretically Adam?s and Eve?s marriage would last forever.
And the purpose was?, well to have children and populate the earth. This is consequently a natural tendency of all people anywhere to see that as the ultimate way to happiness as Qcmbr's comments well illustrate (thanx for the post by the way :)). No wonder that then many JW struggle with the concept of having only angel-like existence, primarily because angels would be of completely different sort (asexual or male-like-only creatures).Reason why I posted this question was because of seeing many people quietly suffer because of whole confusion and WT apparent inability to set the matter straight.

Good point, thanx BluesBrother. I like your reasoning. I'm not sure what to believe myself anymore, but I'm sure truth must be out there, somewhere ... anywhere :) And thank you for welcome!
