  Too much bad language, sex & pics

  please can everyone think twice before they make posts containing bad language (even if not directed at individuals), graphic sex talk and nude or semi-nude pictures (especially if explicit).

  this is not what the forum is here for.

  if you want to post stuff like that then there are lots of places on the internet for it and, more importantly, if people want to see and read stuff like that then they are quite capable of going to these places themselves.. i know everyone likes to 'let their hair down' now and again, me included, and i like pictures of sexy women as much as anyone .

  it is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion.

  i can't find the words that would express how grateful i am for all the support, not only for all of you to back me on the dateline show but for my trial as well.

  i don't think i would have had the courage to go through the trauma if it wasn't for all your prayers and encouragement.

  dateline was a huge help for many and i know this because i have recieved quite a few calls, one from a current jdub who wants out for the safety of his 16 month old baby, i was so excited that he lifted the veil and saw it for the pure truth that it was.

  Rock n Roll group blacklisted by JW's...+ question

  has been blacklisted......told by one of my jw friends on the other side of adelaide that that was said in his congregations public talk yesterday.. p.s.

  anyone know what offspring song jw's were warned against listening to???

  i vaguely remember it was on their 'smash' album (it's either the song that goes "..demons in my head.." or the one called genocide).

  I distinctly remember a Sunday talk in the early 90's naming a list of bands that the society considered associated with demons. I can recall a few here:

  GNR (Guns and Roses)
  Montly Crue
  Prince
  Led Zepplen
  Queen
  Aerosmith
  Black Sabbath
  Pink Floyd
  Alice Cooper
  The Doors

  That was probably half of the list, I can recall the rest. I remember being shocked because I liked some of the bands mentioned. But, as a good JW, I got rid of all the "demonized" music in my collection. What a joke. I have since re-purchased most of those bands cd's since I left.

  I also remember at an assembly around 1993 or 1994, a talk specifically mentioning Green Day, and how they were not music fit for JW's.

  this afternoon while wasting time at the promenade mall, in temecula, ca (southern cal) i had a hard time containing my laughter.

  just in front of me were two women behind a table full of wbts literature.

  what caught my eye was a young people ask sign.

  well we got the phone call from the elder to let us know of the decision to disfellowship us.

  the one elder called while the other sat on the phone as a "witness".

  the second elder was once a close friend.

  i am a new poster who is putting off their own personal story of finding this site for a while..... i find alot of people here utterly fascinating, and would like to know..... exactly what is everyones professional field of work?.

  i would like to be a full time poster on this forum, but alas, the $$$$ are quite light in that field of work.. apologies if this has been asked before.. just curious.
