reading your experiences with the dubs, this has cause you and your family alot of grief...you remind me of that quote
what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger...and you have endure a hard childhood and never had the time to be a child.
now, that you found yourself and set your goals in life.

in an earlier post i spoke of a young relative who is 16 and pregant and wanted me to help her get an abortion without the knowledge of her parents.. well i got the young girl to speak with her parents.

i accompanied her.

i wasn't 100% comfortable with my advice to tell her parents, because they are both dubs to the letter and dad is a hot head - he and i had numerous fights as kids growing up.

i will definitely keep this young girl and her unborn baby in my prayers...it's hard enough to have a baby so young and with the mother's heart condition, this will be consider a high risk pregnancy.
i give my respect to you and your family for willing to support this child. handing to deal with this unpleasent situation with her family members takes courage and this young girl should not be punished any further...her unborn child is innocent.
let us know how any future developments....

JWs not shunning you after you left the org?

after you got disfellowshipped or disassociated yourself were there any jws relatives or not that refused to accept the shunning policy and at least secretly (or perhaps openly) kept up contact with you?

being raised a dub until i left home at my 18th birthday...i was never DF or DA i never joined this mind controling religion...but i found out that life is way too short for shunning ppl...and i don't like it.
i went to a church of christ recently and the minister forgave a member of the church in front of the whole church members...all what was said that this person was very sorry and wanted our forgiveness and afterwards all the ppl in the church hugged that person and gave that person real christian love and encouragement.
i have not witness this type of christian love with the dubs when a person makes a mistake.

LOL....some of your pet's names are hilarious funny
i once had a pet rabbit that passed away by an unfortunate accident...her name was Pepsi....she died a virgin and got ran over by a meals on wheels truck.
