Pardon my igorrance to this but I do not recall ever hearig a talk markig someone. I have been publicly reproved before but is this the same thing. When they mark an individual do they mention their name, or is a talk of generalities and people can point out who they are talking about. What a horrible thing. Shed some light people....lol

Please help me help a friend, quickly
by wonderwhy ini have a friend who is a jw as is her husband.
she is stuck in a marriage with a man whom i believe has major mental problems and he is visciously abusive to her emotionally.
on two occasions he became physically violent with her as in he grabbed her and pinned her while he was yelling at her.

by ButtLight indo you think its ok to have really close friends of the opposite sex if you are married or involved with someone?
any one in that situation where your partner is jealous?

Nope do not get jealous at all. Maybe I should, but it has never bothered me. On the flip side, a lot of the girls I date are hard core jealous and it is a major turn off. I think maybe it is because I travel 20 days a week with my job and they freak out because they hear all the "area code" rules but there is no need to be jealous, be happy they have a friend they can trust.

Fighting experience?
by bebu inthe other night our son confessed that he had been in an after-school fight last friday.
some small kid was irritated with my son (who's nearly 14) and called on the services of a big friend to beat up my son.
(i actually saw the fight (sort of) as i drove past the school that day to go do errands, and pondered on whether i should stop... i didn't... because i actually wasn't sure it was a fight; it was a lot of kids in a loose crowd).

Not to turn this is in to how to fight, but I agree with the poster above, if you are going to do it save the talking smack and pushing to the the little kids. If you in a sitution you have to fight be the agressor, always go for the nose, privates or kidneys first then stay on top of them.

Well obviously it is always better not to fight, but face it there are times when you have to throw down. Thankfully I was never picked on, but the neighborhood I came from was pretty rough I learned to fight back. I was never punished for defendig myself even if I got in trouble at school. Thnakfully my dad was not raised in the truth and he has some understanding of the real world. Actually he is the one who taught me and my brother to fight (special forces in the Marines). Plus the fact that me and my brother are the runts of the family at 6'3" and 6'4 220-230 a piece helps a lot too.

Wow these stories enrage me even hearing them. Purplesofa, I am not sure I could restrain from sticking my size 15 up the persons ass who said that my kid.... What a horrible thing to say and do. Even if she was bad assoaciation (which I am sure she is not) isn't the proper Christian attitude to help her by surrounding her by good things. Fing tool bag!!!
because Jehovah would not be listening to my prayers. Wow I have no idea what you did or even care, but does this needle dick not know how to read. For gods sake look at the forgivness he has shown King David and every other person who sinned. Why do so many make god to be this vengful killing machine. Everything I have read in the bible is that he loves us dearly and will be will forgive us for our sins if we ask for it. It is pretty clear.
I hope the elder whi said that knows how much that had to piss off god. If he thinks for one minute god would ever say that, then he is well beyond hope.
Personally I have never had a elder say something mean to me. There are some who are just nasty, but they know I would never take their junk. Seriously, I am not an ego freak, but I never viewed the elders as prominent. I think people but too much expectations on elders. I hear people whine well elder so and so ever helped me here or said this, so who the heck are they. They are no more imprtant then you. Wow this is going to be rant so I will stop.

I went to the Memorial and to the Sunday meeting...
by JH inan elder came over last monday to invite me over to the memorial, and i went.
i also went to the sunday meeting.
they were happy to see me, and now the elder that came over monday, wants to come over again, this time with another elder..... for those that don't know, i'm inactive since y e a r s. i go to the memorial, and usually, that's it.
