  I suppose you are still active in the religion. You should NEVER concern yourself how you are viewed..I’m sure you’re more charitable than most in the kingdom hall..I never concerned myself that I didn’t meet the JW religion’s definition of being ‘spiritual’ 🙄, since I worked full time.

  Their definition of spiritual was some stupid drudge that went around doing favors for the Users. But, most of the drudges I saw had family in the ‘truth’ and a place to live OR a husband supporting them. So, they weren’t harmed by being stupid!

  But, I was on my own and HAD to look out for myself. I would not be Retired if I hadn’t.

  I am in total agreement with you that the washtowel deserves absolutely nothing - and especially now! Imagine the nerve! But yet they want people to inventory the goods in their house so the brothers can determine if they have a SURPLUS to give away!

  It’s very scary to think about food shortages. I’d rather have a toilet paper shortage than that! 🤞🏻

  I sympathize..I hope you’re at least making it.

  The JW religion made a lot of trouble for people either by getting parents to deny their children college or getting some adults there to quit full time jobs.. Anybody who heeded this bad advice caused hardship for their now adult children. Anybody who quit a full time job to pursue poverty pioneering couldn’t retire..I’m glad I never fell for this!

  If the Witnesses have the audacity to call on me asking for charity, they’ll never forget what I’m going to tell them.

  A post on Reddit tells how the CO instructed elders to give out inventory sheets to each of the publishers!

  Just think!.. If you were still in the JW religion they would want YOU to make an inventory of all YOUR cabinets and itemize all YOUR non-perishable food items and other provisions, cleaning items and meds (OTC?) and submit it to THEM. They also want it updated every Friday. They supposedly want to determine who is needy and who has a ‘SURPLUS’.

  Some JW would then determine that YOU have a ‘surplus’ and that you should give it away. (Doesn’t that make you feel good?).....Imagine the colossal nerve of these bastards?

  I almost wish the JWs would call on me so I could tell them off.

  Yes, it’s disgusting that even in this time of distress, the religion (HQ) wants contributions from people who might be in desperate straits.

  At local levels it seems the COs want JWs to make an inventory of everything in their cabinets (foodstuffs and cleaning and medicines (OTC ?). They want this list updated every Friday!! They supposedly not just want to see who is needy...but who has a ‘Surplus’! I saw this on Reddit.

  While I understand what you are saying, let’s not forget the Witness religion knocks people who work full time..I was one of those people..Therefore, as far as I am concerned, ANYTHING they want is too much! They got a lot of nerve!

  On a Reddit post somebody said that after the elders meeting with the CO, each congregation member was given an inventory sheet to fill out - wanting to know what kinds of non-perishables people have, what sizes and how many, same with medicines and cleaning supplies.

  They say the purpose is not just to know who has a need...but who has a SURPLUS! This implies that they expect people to actually fill out a form and tell THE RELIGION literally how many items they possess in cabinets in their home!..This means some JW is going to tell YOU that you possess too many and should give some away! And the people are supposed to update the inventory every Friday....Can you imagine the balls? What gets me is the stupidity of anybody in that religion gullible enough to imagine somebody has the right to know what’s in your home.

  This religion must imagine this is a commune and they have a right to take what they want. People there are really goddamn stupid and words can’t describe how this sounds to me.

  This religion has sunk very far and I’m so glad I left years ago!

  G.B of JW`s trusting in Jehovah ? or Trusting in Men When It Comes To A Crunch !

  jehovah`s witnesses have taken it upon themselves that they have been chosen by god to be his witnesses in what they believe to be the last days ,the time of the end spoken of by the prophets of old.. they are on record as stating in their publications that it is their calling and duty to preach this message of announcing jehovah`s kingdom loud and clear publicly and from house to house even when under ban.. which they have done on many occasions in the past putting their trust in jehovah .. taking to heart acts ch.5 : 17- 32 which states in a nutshell ," we must obey god as ruler rather than men " .

  they are also on record that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one satan the devil to mislead all mankind.. this includes all governments ,religious leaders ,economic, and social systems ,they have even stated that the united nations was a counterfeit kingdom in opposition to the kingdom of god for the benefit of mankind.. so what do we see today ?

  true , we have a pandemic with this covid-19 virus that is wreaking havoc in the worlds health systems causing death to many people on a scale not seen since the spanish flu pandemic a century ago.. now i`m just speaking from a jehovah`s witness mindset here,to put there money where their mouth is.

  They have no choice but to comply with the secular authorities. If they did not, could you imagine the shitstorm that would come down on them??..They’d be accused of being harmful to the world around them and possibly spreading whatever....

  In their defense, they would refute your claim and say that they are using technology (Zoom) to the best of their ability for their ministry under the circumstances.

  I was in England in the ‘70s and remember that crummy toilet paper in the public toilets.

  As you said it was almost like waxed paper instead of being absorbent like tissue should be! I believe it was printed with ‘Town of Westminster’ if I recall..So funny. I thought it was absurd anybody made toilet paper that was so useless and the only reason I could think of was to discourage the public from stealing rolls of it.

  Is anybody on the forum surprised by this or have any illusions? Would anybody believe that any of the monies funneled to them would ever be distributed to people in need?? I have long said that the Witness religion helps No One.

  Now, in a disaster, it is plainly apparent. Question is:..will this wake any JWs up?
