FISHERMAN:
That’s a good point. Many years ago I had my wisdom teeth out (they were causing problems).
I remember the doctor saying that very often they are poor quality. So who knows?
sometimes people are born with deformities but is the human body adapting to modern world with biological changes?.

kingdom halls will be the thing of the past.. conventions (mini assembly halls will still be going on) but will charge for attending and parking and always a donation.
elders will play a much smaller role since csa.
cart preaching will replace door to door.
TONUS OH:
The JW religion is not really relevant as far as the world is concerned.
Many people don’t even know what they believe in. They just know them as nuisances who ring people’s doorbells.. Even when I was in the religion I was puzzled whenever they spoke about themselves. I think of the term ‘legend in their own minds’.. They weren’t even on my radar before I actually met one.
But I do get the general gist of your post and do believe the religion is gradually heading in the direction of other sects in the USA that are practically defunct.
during today's wt: "satan has the world on a treadmill wearing blinders"..
WTWIZARD:
You forgot something. What about being cornered from time to time by somebody with an envelope asking for a contribution for some ‘needy’ person there who hardly worked, if at all?
I don’t know about you, but that’s a reason I’m Glad I ‘Faded’ decades ago - looking back in retrospect.. As a working person who got criticized, I saw the ‘handwriting on the wall’ with regard to gullible JWs ‘waiting for Armageddon’ who didn’t want to work.👎

LOSTINTHEFOG1999:
Yes, sadly, the hypocrisy and lack of love in the Witness religion is monumental. It’s all about show… I knew enough never to expect anything from anybody there.
I’m happily Out of there now for many years so this does not affect me. But, it’s certainly sad for any ‘believers’ still there who are expecting attention or loving behavior from any of their fellow worshippers.
hey.
does anyone else dread attending (in person or on zoom) the memorial months in advance?.
literally as soon as new year hits, i feel sick and super anxious, and i've realised it's because of the memorial, which i only attend because of family, who kinda tell me the reason they have bad health is cuz i left the jw sevel years ago..
FOOLEDNOMORE:
I always felt this way too at the memorial. I deliberately do not capitalize the word.
I can’t tell you how many times I felt it was a total waste to be sitting there and I’m Glad I don’t anymore! To me it was just an occasion to get dressed up and see Witnesses’ ‘worldly’ relatives who were dragged or bribed to be there and certain other people that came only once a year. 🤣
in the 90's my fading begun.
it had a great impact on me, and took a lot of energy.
later on it gave me a much better life, also for my wife and children.
GORB:
You really did some digging! You just gave people yet more reasons to walk away from the Witness religion!
But, I am very glad to see that you ended four generations trapped there.👍🏻 The buck stopped with you. I’m the only dope in my family that got involved with the JWs, but I rectified that error years later when I left.
As I mentioned to you, the shock of their 1995 Generation teaching was what made me finally walk away from the charade!.. Even their intrusiveness and attempted high-control criticism about my full-time job didn’t make me leave! Thankfully, I held onto that job until retirement.
I’m sorry for others on the forum with worse stories who are suffering today.😞
for the most of us, we have left the jws...and even though we are no longer jw, many of us are still interested in their beliefs, doctrines and practices as currently practiced.
i was trying to sort out in my mind why i still care about what they are doing.
i think the answer to that is a hope that something will develop in the jws that will wake up a lot of others, and selfishly, a lot of my friends.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH:
Also, so many people have been negatively affected by their policies. As others have said, the chickens have come home to roost! It seems to all be hitting at once.
The worst policies are the shunning and the anti-education/career policies. Over the decades too many have felt the awful effects of these policies. Untold numbers of JWs are poor/needy/indigent today and this was totally unnecessary.
The shunning routine has broken up families and worse. I was a ‘victim’ to a much lesser degree because I worked. Today, I look back and see how I resisted busybodies and stupid fools from interfering with my life.
The religion has acted arrogantly, in my opinion. They were so disfellowship-happy for so long. Now they can’t get people to stay. So, it is interesting to watch as a spectator and see what’s going on.
this has been announced on the jw's official website, in the "jw news" section.
this is not a joke.
anthony moron da turd is out as a gluttonous body member!
DISILLUSIONED JW:
I sent you a private message. You do read them, right?
spotted this picture on a friend's page, he was highlighting the mental health issue.
however,we thought the magazine on stress was deliberately placed in the summer months because for any jw going to a convention, paying high season hotel rates for themselves or their whole family to stay near the convention centre, fighting coworkers and managers to get the time off work, travelling expenses, buying their own meals for the family, buying new shiny suits and dresses to impress (particularly if you have teenage girls who are looking for their prince), and more.... by the time they come home again and straight away back to work, their nerves will be so frazzled that their stress levels will have sky rocketed!.
as brother elder says to them, "don't worry.
BETH SARIM:
Wearing a denim outfit, however nice.
If you do, expect to be followed around by some idiot.. It was similar to a store employee following a potential shoplifter around a store. Pathetic really.🙄 I had this happen years ago in the early days my ‘Fade’ when I went one Sunday.
kingdom halls will be the thing of the past.. conventions (mini assembly halls will still be going on) but will charge for attending and parking and always a donation.
elders will play a much smaller role since csa.
cart preaching will replace door to door.
FOOLEDNOMORE:
As others have said, the JW religion will probably be around for a while.
They will try to reinvent themselves possibly. They will still keep the public preaching work to some degree to keep their charitable status, as has been mentioned.
What I really think will greatly weaken them, in the not too distant future, is the demise of those very elderly ‘faithful’ Witnesses.. When these people go, so will their donations.
As a result of this, the religion will also lose more numbers.. In my opinion, other JW family members presently hanging on and ‘faking it’ for their elderly parents’ sake, will leave.. Once the elderly Witnesses die, everyone will see some family members just stop coming.
Ultimately, at some point in the future…the religion will resemble other defunct sects in the USA. Time will tell.
