i am plan to partake of the emblem for the first time.

i have informed my elders of my heavenly call during the time they met with me for my reinstatement last year on june, 2022. i informed my congo secretary also.

who else is intending to partake.

I agree with your post. Many of us are long and happily gone from the JW religion.

We come on here out of curiosity and also because there are many Newbies leaving the religion who deserve to hear our stories. We have felt everything they are feeling. The religion would love if ex-JWs went away silently and didn’t speak of their experience! Also, some ex-JWs are hung up on proving how ‘over it’ they are!

I don’t have to prove anything to anybody. I like talking about my negative experience in the religion because I don’t think it’s talked about enough. After what I have read about what’s happened in the religion in the 21 years I’m out, I’m very Glad I’m no longer there. If I were there now I would be a target of too many desperate fools waiting for Armageddon to solve their problems because they were led to believe they didn’t need to work to plan for retirement.👎 I’d run in the opposite direction from these people.

Inactive after 6 months: where is it written?

i cannot find written anywhere that after 6 months without preaching activities reported you are considered an inactive jw.. where is this written?

or is it a non-written rule?.

Yes, thanks..I am certainly right about that. In fact, I’m Super right.

If given the chance, these people will keep taking without a second thought until there is nothing left but a dried-up husk that blows away. In some cases there is even no thanks. There is just a wrong sense of entitlement. Being lazy Users wanting things for nothing is Bad enough. BUT, criticizing hard working people is something else entirely. In fact, it is something that can never be forgiven, as far as I’m concerned, and I wouldn’t want these people around me.

I’m Glad you as well were Too smart to give these undeserving JW parasites anything. Nice to know you also didn’t cave in and fall for anybody’s BS or guilt trips because they will try anything!!

I don’t know what is or isn’t written about ‘Inactives’ but I’m a walk-away ‘Fader’ for about twenty-one years.

I’m of the opinion they are looking for people they considered an ‘asset’. They certainly didn’t consider me an asset, but that’s okay..In other words, they are looking for ex-JWs they can get something out of.. The Inactive/Fader has to be a person/family perceived to have something people wanted:..were they known for hospitality and opening up their home and feeding the freeloading ‘Friends’? Did they do peoples’ taxes for cheap, repair cars? Etc..Then they’ll be sought after.

However, if they are single women like me who were criticized for full-time jobs and wouldn’t do favors for Users or give $ to Deadbeats..and made no secret of it - I doubt anybody in the religion is actively looking for them.

What I have found interesting in reading on here, etc. is how the religion is telling the R&F about conditions just after Armageddon. They are told that paradise won’t be right away and there will be inconveniences and so on..etc.

This was always speculation first of all. Now, it seems they are ‘fleshing out’ the fantasy with ‘details’ that nobody could possibly know.. I wonder if it is just to give the impatient rank&file JWs something to think about OR is it to give the impression they have an actual pipeline to the ‘divine’ and can see into the future??

Back to the Meetings------Back to Covid.

a lot of pimos are reporting that returning to the meetings is backfiring in that covid is spreading among the members returning.. post;.

so last saturday was my first meeting back in person and well it completely backfired.

last night i got a text from my group overseer saying that someone in the hall tested positive for covid and that we need to get tested(great 🎉).. honestly i kinda expected this.

I am sure they are hoping this getting back to meetings would be a success. Then they can determine what the actual loss of rank & file members over the past two years is…And I am not referring to Witnesses who died from Covid, but those who actually Don’t want to come back to the religion.

I think they want to desperately know what the Real number of remaining R&F are. (Glad it’s not me anymore!)🙏🏻

People can ‘fake it’ on Zoom. Although I do realize some ‘believers’ like Zoom and don’t want to go to the physical meetings. I think this poses a problem for the religion because they can never really be sure…I think to them the real test is showing up in person.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this all works out.

As a former Catholic once involved with the JWs for a period of time, I always felt they were jealous of the Church.

Once, a younger sister brought a non-JW friend to the hall (hoping the JWs might impress her). Instead, somebody on the podium made what they thought was a humorous derogatory remark about the Catholic church. This made a bad impression on the visiting friend and they were no longer interested in the JWs.

As far as JWs disfellowshipping members: well, let them keep it up! It might not seem like it at first but many DFd people in time come to appreciate it was a blessing in disguise! Many did research while out and came to know all the bad things that were hidden from them. Now, it’s a joke. The religion that was arrogantly pushing people out and thinking they were going to get them to come crawling back on their bellies - now can’t get people to stay in! ..Just look at the campaigns to track down inactives and faders.

I’m sure this two-year break from in-person meetings because of Covid must have dealt the religion a blow..It remains to be seen just how many people have no intention of returning.

Regarding what the reference librarians told you: I can perfectly understand why obsolete science books are removed.

As far as those other books that are ‘rarely’ checked out: what about all the other miscellaneous books; cook books, various autobiographies, novels about ‘Lassie’ or ‘Hardy Boys’, etc. that can still be found in some libraries?..Surely people aren’t checking them all out left and right? So, I have a problem with reference librarians removing books on atheism, evolution, etc..This sounds like it could reflect a bias on the part of some of these librarians. Maybe they are religious local ladies? Also, what if JWs work in the local library? Can you imagine if a doubting JW went into their local library inquiring about CofC? I’m sure that would certainly be reported back!

When I was in grade school, a relative married a Mormon. I met the elderly parents and liked them so much I was sorry they left.

Even though I’m not interested in the religion, my feelings about Mormons are neutral. I know they are clannish (whether this is good or bad). I also see they believe in higher education and are prosperous.

I just know the impression I get is in sharp contrast to Jehovah’s Witnesses who turn out painfully uneducated people with harmful beliefs who are oftentimes dysfunctional and a drain on taxpayers!

me i slowly came to see religion was a crutch we use to dream of a better "afterlife"....i feel half my life was wasted building an organisation that had no criminal mastermind behind it...just alot of mislead people looking for leadership.

People also forget a Revolutionary War was fought and I live in a relatively free country (last time I checked)…Why, then, would I forget I am Free (especially as a woman) and then put myself in servitude to any cultic religion that acts as a little country within a country and then tries to strip me of my freedom, rights and dignity???..They wanted me to abase myself and pursue poverty.. For any newbies reading this: Yes that’s what a cult/high control religion tries to do when you analyze it..It’s Freedom of Religion gone too far..Don’t misunderstand me, though. I still believe in religious freedom. This is just what happens when the pendulum swings too far to one side!

Jw's sending me invites and letters, I don't get it.

first off, i have made it real clear with jw's my thoughts on being a jw.

i'm out, there is no coming back.. second, i'm on their " do not call list" .. so why now all of a sudden my mailbox is getting bombed 💣 by their memorial invites and letters?.

don't they follow their do not call list?

Yeah they want you. I agree it probably wouldn’t be wise to respond to those letters. If you did.. I’ll bet the local posse will come knocking on your door soon…Unless maybe you relish the idea of being ambushed when you step out your door or pulling up in the driveway 😜.
