For the last few years the #2 has been either from a WT or the Bible. It looks like the 2006 school schedule is only from the Bible.

We are in the same boat trying to hang on until we can fade.
The opening prayer --"very few in the world understand about FDS , spiritual food, etc.
The #4 part was about "Why we recognize sin for what it is", which was completely unrelated to the material covered in the reasoning book. (Well, not completely, but mostly.)
He used the scripture how all are sinners, but then turned it to the world instead of showing why even JW need Christ's ransom. It is always us vs them.
Closing prayer--"When young ones make these right decisions (no blood) it reflects well on you, our leader Jesus. Your organization.
about two minutes ago the announcement was made that auldsoul was "no longer one of jehovah's witnesses".
he and jst2laws one minute ago toasted to celebrate.
please join us.
Thanks for all you do on this board.

i learned the truth about the truth after i was df.
now, i want to get reinstated for family reasons.
i still want to walk the tightrope to the point of going in service, but cannot promote the teachings of wts as i did for 40 yrs.
Honesty
Tell 'em the truth.
"Hi, I'm here today in the JW cult door-to-door work because that is the only way I can keep from being shunned by my family. I have these apostate magazines that attack Christianity and I am obligated to offer them to you. Please say "NO" and I will be on my way".
As I have thought about this, I think it has real possibilities. At least it would make field service interesting. Also I would be saying something I could really get behind.

i believe that a number of witnesses are leadind double lives.
they go to meetings.
they might even be elders and ministerial servants.
How ironic.
Here we are trying to figure out how to reach the 'honesthearted ones' with our underground, banned activity.

We mutually figured out we were going to the same hall.
That is awesome.

as some of you may know (from my previous posts), i'm studying with the jw's (& have been for 2 years) but have decided not to be baptized after reading some of the information and links from this site.
however, i am supposed to be having one last book study to finish the worship the one true god book.
when i do this study, i'm considering being upfront with my bible study conductor, telling her some of my reasons for deciding not to become a jw.
Luke's account
(Luke 12:42-48)
42 And the Lord said: “Who really is the faithful steward, the discreet one, whom his master will appoint over his body of attendants to keep giving them their measure of food supplies at the proper time? 43 Happy is that slave, if his master on arriving finds him doing so! 44 I tell YOU truthfully, He will appoint him over all his belongings. 45 But if ever that slave should say in his heart, ‘My master delays coming,’ and should start to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that slave will come on a day that he is not expecting [him] and in an hour that he does not know, and he will punish him with the greatest severity and assign him a part with the unfaithful ones. 47 Then that slave that understood the will of his master but did not get ready or do in line with his will will be beaten with many strokes. 48 But the one that did not understand and so did things deserving of strokes will be beaten with few. .
If
vs 43 ( FD slave) =JW's
Vs 45 (evil slave ) = religion 'A'
Vs 47 (many strokes ) = religion 'B'
Vs 48 (few strokes ) = religion 'C'
Since we realize that Jesus was referring to various courses that could that could be taken by any individual slave, we see why it is not necessary to try to find specific religions or oganizations today that correspond to these 4 slaves.
But if we are going to pin an identity on one, then who are the others??
Also we would need to find what organization was pictured by the man who tore down his barns & built bigger ones.

All good comments. I agree as to the importance and lack of support for this doctrine. I think it is a great idea to hammer on it & don't be easily put off.
My 2 cents:
My comments in blue)
*** it-1 p. 805 Faithful and Discreet Slave ***(Insight book)
When answering the apostles’ question concerning his future presence and the conclusion of the existing system of things, Jesus Christ included a parable, or illustration, dealing with a “faithful and discreet slave” and an “evil slave.
Does a parable or illustration require a fulfillment?
Even if it does, what about the timing?
*** w87 8/1 p. 16 Christ’s Active Leadership Today ***
5 The modern history of God’s people shows that this time of accounting came in 1918-19
They were collectively found to be the “slave
Note this application of Jesus' 'coming':
”*** w97 3/1 p. 13 Are You Ready for Jehovah’s Day? ***
On this account you too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that you do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.” (Matthew 24:40-44;-----) Not knowing the exact time of Jesus’ coming to execute God’s vengeance (NOT 1914) tends to keep us vigilant and gives us daily opportunity to prove that we serve Jehovah with unselfish motives.
Then the context of the illustration:
(Matthew 24:36-47) 36 “Concerning that day and hour (Jesus’ coming to execute God’s vengeance) nobody knows, ------------------ 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.(Jesus’ coming to execute God’s vengeance) ----------------------- 44 On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming. (Jesus’ coming to execute God’s vengeance) 45 “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Happy is that slave if his master on arriving (same as coming) finds him doing so. 47 Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings.
How can verse 46 step out of the context & apply to 1914 / 1919? Why would his 'arrival' in vs 46 be at a different time than his 'coming' in the previous verses? So the supposed appointment does not come until after his arrival/coming. At this time he separates the sheep & goats as well as the wheat & weeds.

In the REAL world people get paid for the work they do. You get paid for your work, I assume.
I guess you are right. I constantly find myself shocked at what stuff costs anymore. That wasn't a very well thought out comment I made.
Sorry
