Hmm... if they want another child, that's one thing. But just to save the other, I don't know. If they love that child and raise it lovingly, then it's ok. But if they have the attitude like we didn't really want you, we just did it for your organs, then that is wrong. humh!
last week's wt study was on selfishness.
ostensibly, on living as a christian and being self sacrificing.

i am a person who is a little pack rat, and i must admitt i have some cool collections, such as a my 1920 royal doulton minature toby's and waterford crystal wine glassses.

when i get a new book, i'll open it up to the middle of the book and stick my nose in the binding for about ten seconds, and smell how the glue, ink, and fresh paper smell.

The other thing I do that is wierd is that I spend a lot of time on this damned forum. My wife thinks I am nuts. She may be right.

Bananas. I peel them entirely, then I press along the whole banana, up and down, up and down, harder and harder until it splits lengthways into three (how to describe???) longitudinal sectors. I am unable to eat bananas in any other way.

Why do you need a label on who you are?
It's ok to be a mix of whatever you want to be. If you feel comfortable in the christian religion then go with that. Go with whatever feeds your soul and makes you happy. In the end, that's all everybody wants to do, live a happy, healthy, good life. So don't stress out about picking what one fits you. My Sunday morning- watching cartoons with the kids and going back to bed with my husband for a "nap". That makes me happy.
anybody who is trying to get a loved one out of the jw, knows you have to be open to their religion.
otherwise you are an opposer and they won't talk to you.
but you also have to give a credible reason why you can't join "yet".
It's not about what is popular, it's about what is true.
I have not made a scientific poll to discover what the actual percentage of people is, but it doesn't take a scientist to figure out that the jw "religion" is a cult. Whether you like it or not, it is. If you go by the definition of what a cult is the jw's fit it perfectly. They have control over your every move, because if you disagree with them you will lose your family and friends. If you disobey them, you will lose your family and friends. It's also not wrong to say that is about the same thing that happens in a communist country. You cannot fall out of line or you will lose everything important to you, in the name of god of course. This publishing company only started about 100 or so years ago, yet they seem to think they are the only ones on earth that know what god wants. How haughty of them!
