think about it, when a person is on drugs they feel wonderful, they would appear happy if you asked them how they feel they would say on top of the world very happy..but the reality is they may have lost their home, bank accounts, family and have nothing tangible to show for there lives.

and like any business, religion fills a niche. it sells hope because people are still willing to buy it from them instead of producing it themselves for themselves. people say that humans need hope, therefore religion is a must. but that is what i like to call a non sequitur. hope doesn't come from on high. it may be frightening, but hope comes from right inside.

i was thinking about all the various people who the bible says have been killed by jehovah or his angels for various acts of disobedience.
here are a few of the ones i thought of....feel free to add your own eating a piece of fruit (slow death, 930 years) picking up some sticks on the sabbath preventing the ark of the covenant from falling when the guy carrying it stumbles living in a city where your family has lived for generations, in a region where jehovah has "given" the land to his "chosen" people dancing for your victorious warrior father, not knowing he has vowed to offer the first one out of the house as a burnt offering.

i haven't been to the meetings in about 5 months, as i'm currently in the midst of a rather successful fade.
things are going swimmingly now, although they did get off to to a bumpy start.
for example, after i had been "missing" from the sales meetings for about 2 months, this one brother started coming over to my home without calling ahead of time or anything.

these are the things i remember always looking forward to as a dub and when they happened it was great.. last day of convention/assemblyend of the meetingend of the ministrywhen an event was interrupted thus endingif i had a responsibility to escape the mind-numbing boredomif a visiting speaker failed to make it for the sunday meeting and it only included the watchtowerwhen the sunday watchtower was just question & answer cos of the c.o visit, pity he then wasted all that saved time.no ministry after sunday meeting cos of some reasonwhen i faked illness or even death to get out of meetings/ministry etc

i just finished reading "mammoth" by john varley.
a sci-fi thriller in which a mammoth is found frozen in northern alaska, along with the frozen bodies of a man and woman.
however, as they are uncovered, it is seen that the man is wearing a wristwatch.
that sounds like a cool book gaia.
there are others, but one book that i always wanted turned into a movie is The Alchemist, by Paulo Cohelo.

i was born in 1965, the same year that malcolm x was assassinated.
my father had committed suicide a few months into my mother's pregnancy so we lived with her parents until she married again when i was about 18 months old.
hi merry! i must say, well done on the social front. as mentioned, it must take a lot (of ... ?) to become a muslim, being the person you are (white/idaho) and where you are coming from (xianity). it must have been a real psychological turn-over for you. congrats for making it this far. i too maintain a look and belief system that gets me unrequired attention from normies. some people have a hard time understanding radical psychological change in an individual, of course. in my case it's secular, but the social aspects of it have become obvious. you must be a strong individual. it's nice to see!
as far as islam, and God (gods), abraham and the koran etc. is concerned; well you probably know exactly what i think already, so we'll just leave it there.

for 18 months i have been at loggerheads with my wife over the wts.
she has been the perfect watchtower slave even declaring that she'll never leave the truth.
i decided not to interfere in her life, attacking the society, and the idiots in the hall, but recently things have changed for the best.
