What is your idea of worship?
by journey-on inwhen i was a jw, my idea of worshipping god was to put in at least 10+ hrs.
in fs monthly, attend 5 mtgs per wk, study for those meetings, make back calls (or what is now called rv's), conduct bible studies, have a family study once a week, pioneer when able, go to all the assemblies, etc.
what, if anything, do you consider worship?.

man, jabba da hut musta been the most disease-ridden thing in the galaxy. i never understood how Hans was still interested in her after she had been tied up for days on end as jabba's beeatch. "princess" was probably only a formality after that incident. lol.
yes, sorry, on to worship.
to me, worship is the confluence of knowing and being, as parakeet summed up so well. a sort of constant state of becoming. or being aware, via knowledge, that we are constantly becoming something new.

Money, Freedom and Relationships

it would no doubt change your life but how would it affect your relationship?
are you in a relationship which has its financial advantages, or maybe do you cringe at the thought of semi ruination in the wake of a divorce?

you see, i think that first we should define poverty. i do not define poverty as having to work each day for the food and shelter of that day. i define poverty as lack of food for days on end in a place that is already so poor that there is no charity to go around (shelters, soup kitchens, etc.)
but because we have hoarded for so long now (in an ever increasing capatalistic environment where we become alienated from the work that we accomplish the hoarding with), our objective view of what is materially required for happiness is distorted. after all, it's happiness that we should be after, right? the thing is that people seem to be making the money = happiness equation instead of the being = happiness equation. and i am starting to think that this is one of the truest human dualities ever.
if i am in a relationship, it's because i am paired with the same person that would walk around the world with me if we had to.
money and relationships seem to go together though. not that either will bring freedom (liberation from psycho/social contrants/expectations). though i give better probability to relationships for the sake of the relationship over the relationships for the sake of money. a rather recent development in our ideas of what a word like "freedom" might mean. i'd say. up to this point we didn't have much of a say.

Annoying Computer fan.

you can not program your fan because it should not be up to you when it runs.
get a new one and install it or get someone to install it.
if it's a case fan, super easy. just turn the pute off, open it up, take the fan out. replace it.
if it's a processor fan, you may not want to do it yourself.
you won't know until you open the case up while it's running and following the noise.

sorry to hear about your friend rabbit. it is very sad that she is denied this. i have been to a couple medical marijuana fundraisers, and man, so many sad stories of the police treating people who live in constant pain like criminals.

its a religion not a cult and people write about jw's as a whole everyone is an individual and just like the rest of the world there are nice caring people as well as bad awful people.
jehovah witnesses dont set up web sites saying and exploting awful things that non jw's do to them, such as teasing bashing raping even murder..
