Did the Israelites lay eggs like reptiles?
by doubtful ini'm a newbie bible skeptic, but whenever i read the exodus account, i always had trouble swallowing the idea that a family of 70 people could possibly mushroom into a population of anywhere between 2-3 million in a matter of 215 years - (per the watchtower's timeline).
as i said before, math is not my strong suit, but here i will show my calculations regarding the possibility of this account, using the society's timeline.
i will ignore the fact that the bible says the nation of israel was in bondage in egypt for 400 years, and will instead use the 215 year timeframe, also because this harmonizes with the four generations from levi to moses.

The Face Of Jehovah
by PublishingCult ini was one of the lucky ones (sarcasm).
i was born into the cult of the publishing corporation.
my earliest childhood memories are tangled horribly with the sights and sounds a kingdom hall.

The Soul
by free2beme inso we were all taught basically this thought.
the soul is our life, not seperate and not something that moves on when we die, right?
yet, for those who die and get ressurected, jehovah remembers them and makes them come to life with their memories, personalities, appearance and so on, right?

Recreating, resurecting, duplicating, cloning, DNA splicing, super computing....does not erase what has taken place. This "almighty" has allowed death, distruction, perversion, etc., all to protect his reputation. SOunds very human to me.

The secret things men hate about being men
by FlyingHighNow inthese are hastily thought up facts and then some stereo-typical reasons, in response to sam's why men seldom get depressed thread.
feel free to add ones that have been missed.. men:.
have to shave everyday or they look like miami vice wannabe's.. have to register for the draft.. have to keep up that macho image for their buds.. have to pretend to love beer.. to them, size is an important issue.

I THINK IT'S RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!
by wasblind in1) i think it's ridiculous to tell anyone when and how to use something they paid for ( computers and internet service ).
2) i think it's ridiculous to tell married couples how to act in the bedroom.
3) i think it's ridiculous to tell people what kinda cars they should buy ( 4 door for fieldservice ).

I think it's rediculous that an all knowing, all powerful god would allow millions of it's valuable creatures to suffer and die...many times, an awful death.....all so that it's reputation not be tarnished. Hmmmmm.

Mad Sweeney, Outlaw may be your DICK, but he's not mine..(he does seem big headed sometimes though)
I digress, if that's possible. Since Dan's wife is getting out of the hospital, is it too late to send flowers?

Conservative America and "The Meaning of the Flag-Draped Coffin"
by SweetBabyCheezits intoday i received a mass-fwd email from a fellow employee (down here in baptist country) entitled the meaning of the flag-draped coffin.
i'm pasting the intro to it below the full email can be enjoyed by clicking the link.. all americans should be given this lesson.
those who think that america is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought.
