wasn't the answer to this question wrapped up in a neat little package when you were young?
it was easily explainable and it made you feel so warm inside that you knew that god felt passionately bad about the suffering and that it was going to stop.. there is so much pain in this world.
people are starving, people are being torchered by others who have lost their minds, there is endless suffering on this planet.
The Truth taught me that the reason Jehovah allows suffering and evil is that his reputation was damaged when his heavenly sons rebelled. So if enough humans can "hold on" through the generations, faithful to Jehovah's ways*, then Jehovah's reputation will be repaired. It will be like it never happened!!
This has always been enough for me.

hey i'm wondering if anyone can give some good advice on how to step down in the safest way.. i have served as an ms for a number of years, but can't do it anymore.
i know too much i want to fade in the future when i get some family things straightened out.
i can't move right now so that's out unfortunately.. what should i tell the body?

if so, do you know when that ended and they started doing the review as a 30 minute talk?.
what would the arrangement at the assembly in, say, 1966 have been for the watchtower study?.

A lot of excellent points on both sides. I love a good argument. Wish it wouldn't get into name calling. That discourages dialogue.
The real shame here is that something so important does not have clear instruction/direction from above.
Sooo, the debate goes on. While it does, lives are lost, families are broken, and "god" loses authenticity.
