  How will the WT "officially" respond to the Heichel case?

  the case is garnering national attention.

  it's pretty evident that both murderer and victim were jws, most likely in "good standing".

  the jw angle is playing more prominently as details unfold.

  Well, here's how one of the "rank and file" feels about it...facebook posting:

  I promised myself no more crying but I couldn't help myself... I started reading "Whitney" posts again. What a privlege to belong to Jehovah's Organization! And how wise and loving the counsel from F&DS regarding the worlds "entertainment!" I can't help but think if "the perp" had been regular at meetings and listened to the counsel he would not have done this...

  Should "Irregulars" Have Psyc Evaluations?

  now that we've found out that the murderer holt was an "irregular" we can all relax.

  he wasn't a "regular" witness.

  gawd, this reminds me of the witness attempt to assuage their guilt over the conti case, because he wasn't an elder...... .

  Evidently, this particular "irregular" has had breakdowns in the past. Maybe the friends found him when he was at the peak/depth of his mental illness. Many who are "found" are going thru real crisis and need the loving brotherhood. They make great recruits.

  I have been enjoying some facebook postings by "sisters" and it's amazing how once it is pointed out that Holt was an "irregular" everyone nods in understanding...."oh, yeah, he was irregular". The witnesses are constantly warned to watch who/whom they associate with INside the hall as well as outside. Some great re-enforcement going on here.
