  Stupid Idiots at the meeting

  i was at the sunday meeting today (i know, i know...) and i heard this one guy give a comment about how hollywood movies always portray rich people as happy and successful, so that's proof that satan controls the film industry because it's a lie.. .

  i struggled to think of one recent hollywood film that portrayed anyone as being happy, let alone rich and happy.

  if they made a movie like this guy was describing, it wouldn't sell.

  what was up w.that talk?omg,i was soooo bored that i ate two rolls of life savers and then did orgami w/the wrappers..whoa,if that wasnt some kinda mindcopulation than i dont know what is...then the watchtower with the 'millionaires are miserable depressed people'..sheeyit,like poor folks are not depressed???

  Tribulation in the flesh ...

  as an active jw i remember hearing that individuals who chose to marry would have "tribulation in the flesh".

  what exactly is the jw interpretation of that phrase?

  any ideas?.

  ok, got some more info (just a little ) on the elders school at bethel.

  ok, so i am at my in-laws house and i see a letter from the society that is laying out .

  it seems that the elders school is going on between february and june on 2008. they want you to mark every week you are available to come to the school (to increase your chance of being selected).

  they even have a spot if you are not going to attend.

  There's no way they will be able to get all of the elders to the school in Patterson within a reasonable amount of time. PO's, priveledged first, then the Assembly Halls will have to open up (satellite hook up?). 10,000 congs, times 5 elders = 50,000 "bros." 1000 a week for a year? Unless this is just the start of a year in and year out program.

  Will be interesting to see how it rolls along.
