  My doubting friend came by and left the letter...

  i hope that i am not eating up alot of bandwidth and annoying anyone.

  however as i make my exit i want to reveal as many things as possible.

  i have a friend who had doubts about the latest change and wrote a letter.

  just one day perform some form of miracle in front of the entire earth in which he proves he exists???.

  wouldn't this be the most loving and sensible thing to do?

  for instance, this coming thursday god repeatedly strikes mount kilamanjaro to the point that it reads in hebrew, "god exists, i just did this.

  Jeez, that's nothing. Back in the day, when we had 6 month bible studies in the "Truth That Leads To Eternal Life" book, we were getting 250,000 a year, no problem. Even more in some years.

  Why the "New Light" in the July 15 Watchtower?

  it seems to me that in the past large flashes of "new light" have come when the governing body was backed into a corner.

  for example the multiple re-defining of what a generation is until it ended up the ridiculous "overlapping" meaning.. what is the reason this time?

  are they worried because the number of partakers has been going up?

  "jws leaders need to mandate elder bodies to uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction; prohibit elders from being involved in any investigative process to decide guilt or innocence in place of the authorities; do away with the two-witness rule to determine, as if they were magistrates, guilt or innocence of someone accused; prohibit so-called repentant molesters from engaging in the door-to-door ministry, and always inform the congregation if a convicted or confessed molester is meeting with them.

  this is another reason why the watchtower society doesn't require that the elders uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction.
