  Recommend a film

  no big hollywood blockbusters, no explosion fests, just good films with a decent cast and a decent script.

  definitely nothing with keanu reeves and preferably something that will touch the audience rather than just wash over them.

  timeframe immaterial but quality is important.

  i know exactly what you mean cos when df i went to movies all the time and got fed up with blockbusters and gross outs masquerading as comedies...so i started to watch more thought provoking stuff..charactor driven...but because they werent so mainstream the names are not inprinted on my mind...there was another one with cate blanchet and pheobe from friends brother...based in italy she went to corporate building to plant a bomb and gets caught and he is a police man who helps her escape and they go on the run

  always keep missing leaving las vegas

  ill try and remember some more and their titles..might take a coule of days..so keep checking

  do you mean one thats showing now or on dvd....i havent been to movies for coupla months now but if on dvd try a movie with antony hopkins and nicole kidman that i just remembered but cant recall title of..hes a teacher that gets fired and hooks up with her and shes flaky

  she totally flipped out.

  all i was trying to do was find some mutual respect for my decision but she started smacking, punching, pushing me.

  soon after, she threw the biggest tantrum and it disgusted me to see her acting in such a manner.

  what is it with mothers....fathers rarely act this way or have so much influence over us...must be the carrying for nine months and caring and nurturing...not decrying that in any way...just that a more rational response could get a more positive reaction whereas the screaming attacking pillpopping approach just makes you think ...wow made the right choice....

  she may also think that your decision means she will not see you again...so reassure her that you still want her association and if that doesnt happen then it will be her decision

  your mother recognizes all your desperate displays

  and she watches as her babies drift violently awaycounting crows-recovering the satellites

  Did you ever see a TRULY happy JW?

  i mean seriously, most of us have been inside for a number of years.

  so during all this time did you ever see happy person or a family or were you ever truly happy there, even for a brief period of time?

  if you were happy, when was it?

  golf...youda loved my talks..i never gave a boring talk in my life

  but your right about talk quality....some bros could make a 5 min talk seem like an hour

  and others could make an hours talk seem like 5 min

  i am hoping there are others of you that have the same feelings as my self and can help me to move on from them!.

  currently i am in therapy due to different things that have happened in my life (not just to do with the witnesses!!

  ) and i thought it would be good to share my last session with you.. as a jw you are given your goal in life- your point.

  hey i know exactly what you mean and in many ways i was happy!!! to find out that others were experiencing it too...i have no interest in life no goals no objectives no desires even..i lost interest in everything and i really loved life aswell as the truth....music kept me going but not from an enjoyment point of veiw....i used to go to the movies but got sick of doing that alone...didnt wanna eat didnt want to be in anyones company...i dont have kids..i dont have pets....and i also have that inability to be selfish...but i decided that i had to do something...if you are getting counselling then see if they can get you involved in some group activities...you dont say whether you still have your b/f or kids but you got to get some interaction....scripture in prov says isolating oneself is selfish (not the point here) but it also says that it goes against all practical wisdom...and all thats been said already about eating prop and walking and doing stuff is practical wisdom and sometimes when we been alone for so long we fail to see how these will benfit us....

  i started a college course and im the oldest in the class but its good fun and i enjoy it...its not the answer to everything and it hasnt as yet given me any definate goals but it is something to do and it is interaction and i can get good meals and homework for when im alone....

  i still dont want to wake up tommorrow but at least i dont want to die today

  is it deserved...ie are you doing something that you know you shouldnt according to jw standards but you dont wanna give up...or is it for something you regret but they dont believe you are sorry for....if for the former you'll be ok..and you will prob have other friends or workmates you can associate with....if for the latter then it will mess with your head so you have to decide now whether you are going to knuckle under and get reinstated quickly or you will have to come up with some plan of action than replaces eveything and everyone that you have lost...to do nothing and just wait in limbo will mess you up even further

  every time i leave this forum, i just shake my head in disbelief.

  i was happy..people used to comment on it constantly and it wasnt because i didnt have any difficulties..and they dont understand why now i cant be that way again...i wish i could have it back..just know i cant knowing what i know now

  overheard on a glasgow bus recently.....slightly drunk man sits down next to a breastfeeding mother and says 'will you move over'....woman says 'thats not very polite' and man says...'i was talking to the kid'
