  where have all the tile-setters gone? anyone in construction in BC?

  have you noticed, since leaving, that there's a whole network that's gone missing?.

  where you could easily find a tile-setter, dry-waller, painter, house for sale/rent, job... while in the org., now these things are harder to come by?.

  i just want to build a house!.

  i went to the hall last night to get an insight book and a concordance.

  i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.

  i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

  michael porter, an elder in the religion, pleaded guilty to 24 counts of indecent assault and gross indecency on 13 victims aged 18 months and older.

  So he is an MS and not an elder as was previously thought?

  so it would seem that there are some innaccuracies in the reporting. lets face it if he has admitted the charges in court then he will be removed from any position he holds....you know it and i know it he may well have denied the charges to the cong in which case he will be df too. or it may be that a lack of 'scriptural' evidence has forced the elders to postpone making a decision until the court ruling. this they will now do at the earliest possibility. my hope is that the victims get the help they need to deal with the consequences of his actions
