by love2Bworldly ini was on prozac for about 10 years, and finally went off all meds about 18 months ago.
the prozac was causing me to have manic episodes, so they added a bipolar medicine as well as a sleep aid, and the bipolar medicine made me dizzy & nauseaus.
so now i work really hard at exercising regularly, i take a lot of natural supplements including natural lithium & megadoses of omega upon advice of a homeopathic doctor.

Former Long Time Elder - Judicial Committees
by James Jackson inwhen i first was appointed as an elder, i could not wait to be on a judicial committee.
it semed like most hearings invovled middle age men and women cheating on their mates because either they had married early or felt that were being neglected by their mate.
most times i felt i need to take a long hot shower after a hearing.. the toughest part was seeing these sweet young children grow up in "the truth", and now you are about to judge their future based on their repentance.

i stopped a vulnerable young girl from being disfellowshipped. she had a horrible upbringing including being abused and then abandoned by a knife wielding mother - and she had just been ditched a few weeks before her wedding. her crime was to steal some money from her grandparents in a momentary lapse of reason. the other 2 elders wanted to df her on the grounds that they did not like her father. usually 2 against 1 would be enough to df but i managed to convince them that this was too harsh ..and common sense prevailed - at the time i felt it was the holy spirit working thru me.
a few years later...i was involved in a judicial comittee dealing with a repentant genuinely sorry mentally drained hospitilised person who it took 2 minutes to df...i know cos it was me df-ed this time..where was the holy spirit there...

Evolution is Crap, there I said it!

the theory of major evolution is crap!
the theory is falling apart.

by mrsjones5 ini love this tv show and it's a great reason to send all the kiddies (my under 18 set) out of the room (they're on summer break and have liberal bedtimes).
mommie needs alone time with hannibal.

the thing about hannibal is that it is the character that is so watchable...so all the actor's takes on it are terrific..tony hopkins hamming it was still great acting, and scary....and mrs jones well worth watching all of his portrayals. brian cox was also terrific in manhunter
lot's of good shows presently with similar themes, dexter and the killing 3 amongst them

can't remember when i was last at bethel..london but it woulda probably coincided with your being there. my folks were on construction for a while and we would go down and visit and work also..stayed in one of the blocks in edgeware..(my names ian gill - you work it out)

British zone visit from David Splane - a report from the special meeting in Glasgow
by slimboyfat inwell i went to a "special meeting" in the armadillo today where a 2 & 1/2 hour programme was relayed from london at 1pm.
apparently the letters of invitation only went out a month or so ago and not all congregations were invited.
there were 2,900 of us from around scotland.

i was there...i was working backstage...didnt hear a thing...
but everyone was super nice to me even those who recognized me..freaked one guy out by asking who the annointed speaker was for the event.
it was traumatic for me...i think it must be like japanese pows returning to japan. on an individual scale japanese people will be kind and caring and hospitable but it must be hard for someone who suffered at their hands to fall in love with their country again esp if the torturers keep showing up.
