Will married partners reunite at resurrection? And what does that imply.
by cyborgVision inhi everybody, since this is my first post i hope everyone is going to be kind to me :) .
one thing that kind of bothers me, and i?ve seen it bothering many honest jws (yes there are such ones) is whether they should remarry after their mate dies.
it is the issue that, in my experience, many do not even dare to confront, at least from older generation.

interesting point that ip-sec makes....extend that to all the sisters that are waiting till after armageddon to get married as if there will be a plethora of available brothers then...well there wont...there will be less...many available now may not survive armageddon and none resurrected will be allowed to marry...any children born will be male and female and will grow up and marry each other....unless j. controls the birth rate so that all armageddon survivors are teamed up with another survivor or one born after armageddon.....either way only a very small percentage of earths inhabitants will be married and that could lead to cliques and a superior attitude

Anyone notice the new KM policy on parking at district conventions??
by researcher inthe latest km states.... parking is free on a first come first serve basis......for district conventions...................what happened???
that was a real good scam on collecting parking fees for a parking lot that came with the rented facility?????

i just looked at the links blondie refered to....and it reminded me of when i was working in food services...sandwich prep at circuit assemblies...i would be handed a sheet of various sandwiched and their contents and the sheet i was given was a duplicate of the costings made by the food overseer...making a sandwich was pennies but then overheads were added and then it was rounded up but still a reasonable price was arrived at....then this price was doubled and rounded up...didnt think any thing of it cos obviously the cost of the sandwich defrayed the running costs of the assembly
at a district convention in edinburgh the convention overseer from bethel that year was ron drage and on a particularly hot afternoon a lot of people were walking on the concourse instead of sitting listening and so he phoned each buffet captain and told them to open their buffets and sell stuff.....if they are not going to be listening they might as well be making us money...he said......fair point
tijkmo of the 'food services only simplified things for the hierachy but made things much more difficult for the r+f aswell as taking all the fun out of assemblies especially for young people who no longer had an opportunity to meet other young people in a spiritual working enviroment until quickbuilds came along and you could only go on them if you had a skill and werent pioneering cos rbc overseer wouldnt sign your report card cos you should have been out on the ministry' class

to be fair though..cy...this is a dilemma that is not unique to jws....lots of happily married couples outside the org ask themselves and their partners whether they would get remarried if one died...it is a question fraught with danger because either answer could be misinterpreted....and whether a witness or not nobody is truly convinced that they would be reunited in an afterlife...at least the org stance does allow someone to pursue another mate if that be their desire before they get too old and perhaps regret that they waited........i know my wife is still waiting for me and i not even dead
so any way a wife asked her husband if when she died and he got remarried would he give his new wife her clothes and hubby said no obviously not..anyway he wasnt getting remarried....so she asks but if you did decide to would you let her wear my jewellry..no of course not.....what about my golf clubs she persists...dont be daft..says the husband..shes left-handed
