  thanx...joyzabel.....the wt often makes comments to the effect that should replacements be required for unfaithful anointed then they would be taken from among mature longserving tested members of great crowd....however faithful bro letts et al have proved to be up to now i dont think anyone in their wildest dreams could say they fitted that criteria at 20 yrs old and that there were not other much more qualified people in the org....wow even jesus had to wait until he was 30

  Tone of the current literature

  i haven't started a thread in some time but this is something that has got me thinking.

  i want to know if i'm off-base here or if others have noticed this too.is.. over the last several months (perhaps 6-9) i feel that the tone of the wts and kms have been very strong.

  not strong in the sense of legalistic do's and don'ts but strong in the sense of do more!!!!

  2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!

  saturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.

  location is our home in weston super mare.

  as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.

  ok, i have browsed through the jw sites & guess i am missing it, what is the big controversy about jw?

  i simply do not know, i have heard it called a "cult" and understood that they did not believe that christ is our savior.

  i know they are an organized religion, not a "cult" i just haven't ever learned enough to know.

  the problem with bombarding you with warnings is that they go contrary to what you have experienced and as such are likely to be counter productive....most of us here myself included have been treated poorly by an org that we fully believed in and implicitly trusted...and are likely then to be a bit jaundiced in our attitudes...but given that there are six million jws worldwide the likelyhood of your coming across some awesome ones is quite high...as a witness i was awesome...loving welcoming helpful...but i would be that way as a person now...so enjoy it but just be aware of it...tijkmo

  Watchtower continues relationship with United Nations in some way

  to find that the watchtower continued (another) type of u.n. relationship even (after) they disassociated from the (ngo dpi) sections, these are the instructions i was given: 1. go to the home page of (who) world health organization 2. type in these numbers into the search engine at the top: (10184) and click go 3. when the next page comes up, you will receive one pdf listing of information.

  click on it.

  4. when the pdf file comes up, go to page 3 and you will find that the watch tower of jehovah's witnesses is listed as a (new idp site) and (participant center).

  so in fact the issue here is not jws working along with the u.n.....but the fact that in liberia 200 witnesses are idp and need care from the u.n....where is the true religions love amongst self here...for an org that has all of its members logged and every one is visited regularly by a loving group study conductor..or cong elder or co or branch coordinator or headquarters how can 200 of them go missing....they surely cant all have decided to miss the group that night

  ok, i have heard that the elder/annointed who gave me the questions for baptism is a huge apostate now...whoo hoo.

  but i do have a few questions i am curious about and thought i would give him a call.

  so if you could ask the elder who gave you the questions and the ok to be baptized into the jw's, what would you ask?.

  spark plug...odrade...im fighting back tears (cos im all cried out) listening to you guys..i know there isnt anything i can do for you..but hope your anger subsides to a point that you can at least get some enjoyment out of your life in the future...just wanted you to know
