  Has a “brother” ever screwed you?

  i was always very cautious with worldly people but of course i trusted everyone in the congregation 100%.

  i trusted someone from the congregation with a business deal and got raked over the coals.

  its a long and frustrating story, suffice it to say it cost me a lot of anguish, time and money.

  Really wish I could say more, but yeah, just a few weeks ago jw relatives screwed me out of money.

  I won't be getting the money back, so I've been plotting my vengeance. I am now ready to act, just working up the courage,

  apostates in Michigan

  i know we have some exjw's on the board that are from michigan.

  but what i'm wondering is if anyone here would remember a story that came out of the brighton, michigan area about 15 - 20 years ago.. apparently a young woman da'ed and then some time later was (if my memory serves me correctly) killed in a car accident.

  i believe her parent's da'ed soon after.

  How up are you on the music and musical artist, hot today?

  as i get older, i understand more the generation gap we always remembered being mentioned with our parents.

  i always thought i was on top of the music scene, as i used to run a music and video store in the late 80's.

  i thought it kept me on a path, that would keep me in the know of what was hot and what was not.

  That's just the worldly definition of the word Publisher.

  By reading the Watchtower, we can see that a true publisher would shun this apostate thinking.

  i had the opportunity to talk to two jw's in service today.

  they were working a neigborhood that i had a job in.

  i really tried to get a good discussion going , but they made it hard.

  I've always been told to shun any person or reading material being critical of the org. And I've had many lectures on how apostates are clever and will try to snare you into thinking like them with seemingly innocent questions. I wonder where those apostates learned how to do that?

  This is still an unresolved problem in my bible/book study. The resurrection as they describe it sounds like a copy of the person, not the actual person who died.

  i remember when i was a jw kid.

  at a particular meeting my 12 year old friiend was sitting beside me.

  when you are 12 anything is funny so he gets a boner and there is a bible on his lap.

  I got the giggles like that once when this older guy was commenting but lost his train of thought, -for a few seconds, all we could hear was him breathing!

  Even weeks later, the thought of it would send me into hysterics!

  so i recently started dating a friend of a friend's sister.

  now, i wasn't really interested in her romantically, but i was single and she's ok company.

  so last sunday she came over my house for the first time.
