but that lcd tv would be better choice if one does not want to even come close to violating god's law on blood.. (besides, plasma screens are worthless unless the room is completely dark.

Rejoice brothers! Pretty soon nobody will have plasma TV and sudden things will be upon us. Like less heat, lower size/weight and a display thats immune to the demonz of burn-in. Praise liquid crystal and the diode!

Theists, why does God allow suffering..

..specifically, the suffering of animals.

you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

A buddy has a saying "there is no altruism in nature" and I think it rings true. Mother Nature is unforgiving and ruthless. The young, the weak and the sick are usually the first to go. Many species breed fast and in large quantities just to ensure enough live long enough to reproduce. Even dem cute lil mice will eat their young. Ain't no picnic living in the forest, Yogi.

If god knows when a single sparrow falls, then I wonder what he does to ignore the constant din of all creation at any given point.

If I look at the keyboard---I can't find the keys I need! I totally have to type by touch, and looking just messes me up. I don't think 'a' far left in the middle row, I think, 'a' left pinky home keys.

Ya, looking slows me down and causes mistakes it seems. I anchor both index fingers on f and j coz of the "notches" myself. I had an ergonomic keyboard for awhile; that took some getting used to but was easier on the wrists fo sher.

I am glad I took typing as an option in high school, it's come in handy.
