for some reason, i don't feel as if i accomplished much in my life up to now....but that doesn't affect me too much.
i'm happy..
I could say a career for which I'm known for, being in various bands and recording CDs, and of course, breaking free of the Org.
But the best thing is just being me, becoming the person I envisioned a long time ago and despite the ups and downs along the way, I am still glad I'm free.

i've been lurking here and reading for a couple of months now.
i was also a jw for a few years but got myself dfed when i started asking difficult questions, wouldn't stop asking them, and kept pointing out how the wts didn't make any sense.
i am an unrepentent rebellious one who was warned and publically reproved until finally i finally had it out with the elders and they showed me the door.

Being aware that you are dreaming while it is happening is rather cool. I have a certain amount of control over what is happening and can choose to wake up as a "emergency escape" if it starts to tank. Not always but more often than not.
a duck walks into a bar and asks: "got any bread?".
barman says: "no, its a pub, try the shop round the corner"
an hour later duck comes back into the bar.

i think everyone has a bs detector, but not everyone utilizes theirs, or ignores its warnings.. i find that mine seems very sensitive and unless i "feel" sincerity from the person i am sizing up, my bs detector has various levels of "alert" mode.. in "yellow alert" mode, i tend to be very guarded with personal information until the individual's behaviour identifies whether i should maintain that status quo or not.
this seems to be my default setting, i think, because i tend to use it with all new people i encounter.. in "orange alert" mode, there's something about the person that just is not meshing with me.
they may be trying to cross a boundary that i do not want them to cross, like bestowing a nickname on me without asking me if i'm ok with it first.

It took some time after leaving to develop. Got burned enough times I suppose. Sad but true fact of this world. But I bought the ticket.
These days it's a little hypersensitive and needs some tweaking. Works pretty good in general.
I like the alert analogy. I tend to mix logic of statements and reasoning with the getting a "read" on the person, physically speaking. Body language says a lot. Of course, natural born liars are tough to spot. That's when you rely on instinct.
Sometimes I like to have some fun with the lesser types of bs artists you meet from time to time. When in Rome,..... ;-)

i have dated several in the past few years andhave got serious a time or two.
but it never fails when someone comes along that really trips your trigger, you fall so hard for someone who really fits your wants needs and desires in everyway a man could want and then it happens.

Now, if we believe that there is and has always been wars and hunger and disease........then there is nothing different about the past, present or what will happen in the future.But how we look at this and what we do with this is information can be different.
