ok. let me first start by saying i am not a flat earther.
i like most on here will have the same view most will have here about our planet.
in saying that however, i am incredibly gob smacked by the book written by eric dubay called 'the flat earth conspiracy'.
I recall seeing a video years ago that examined the assertions of the Flat Earth Society. I recall their ideas seemed rather odd and contrary to reason and evidence. I most recall the flat earth woman who wandered off to find the edge of the world in the wasteland of Antarctica, alone. She was never seen again.
She most certainly found the edge but the earth isn't flat.
have you seen this?.

i know there's another thread about this specially talented musician's passing- but this guy was a torch carrier from the old bluesmen like muddy waters, howlin wolf, john lee hooker, and lightnin' hopkins who made chuck berry millions of $$$$$$ and collaborated with rock n rollers like bono of u2 .
these old bluesmen from the 1940's deserve all the credit for the babv that the blues ended up giving birth to- rock and roll music.
any comments are appreciated and welcome for b.b., music, or the blues in general pour your heart out.
Yea, an original music legend is gone.
The King is dead. Long live the King.
when my niece was very little (over 20 years ago), barely walking or talking, my mother decided to teach her "where jehovah lives".
she would coach her and say, "where does jehovah live?
" in a sing-song voice.
Indeed.
Probably moved to the Andromeda Galaxy since. Heard she was beautiful, and not too far away.

You could've said that he used to live in the Pleides star cluster on/near the star Alcyone, but new light forced him to move and he has since been of no fixed address.
You wouldn't have been lying.
not many shows left.. was a fan from his nbc days when he had a lot of innovation.. no question, he has a quick mind, which to me, is a key to comedy.. a distinct memory was awakening my poor pre-teen daughter when dave was back on the air after his heart surgery.. no matter what, is a changing of the guard (if only the wt could do the same)..
I was a fan of the early Dave, when he was more the rogue jester, comic imp and all around sarcastic rapscallion. Gonzo humor a la New York style. A rebel with applause.
End of an era in late show history.
the 12 apostles????.
jesus' astrology birth chart???.
maybe the jehovah's witnesses have something right about the cross and its connection with paganism???
I see a cat's cradle and maybe a boat anchor. What does that mean?
Pretty pattern though. I like mine better
:)
so, if anybody ever got a dislike from me.....it was my fat thumbs trying to scroll down....sorry ; )

you can't see electricity or hear it or feel it.
well, there are sparks and lightning bolts and heating elements and the light and heat of filaments.
and somehow, it lights up neon in a tube.
RE 277V
I've heard from a friend in commercial renovations that this is the "widowmaker" voltage, for the mentioned reason.
Then again, 50V or less could kill under the right conditions; all depends on the path of the current and the resistance between "contacts". A mere 20 milliamps can cause respiratory paralysis and 100 - 200 mA can cause fibrillation, should the current pass through the chest. Higher current may not necessarily cause the lungs or heart to stop but will cause severe burns likely internal, which ain't good.
Or so it is written.
