Are the Society planning a 'Pledge of Allegiance'? IT MAY BE TRUE!
by nicolaou ini've just learned from a trusted contact at thewatchtower.org 'norris', that the society intend to put a resolution to the congregations shortly - though definately not at the 'special talk' meeting next month.. here's the scary bit.
this resolution needs to be responded to by all baptized jehovah's witnesses.
we have not been able to get hold of the wording but have been informed it is intended to provide the brotherhood with the opportunity to affirm their loyalty to jehovah and his organization.

What if we don?t pledge, we?re out? I know, I, for one would never pledge to a crooked organization like that.

GBL, I'm very sorry. I to lost a grandmother to cancer. It is a terrible illness. And likewise the references and clinging to false hope is no help or comfort to the logical. My grandmother was not a JW as well and I?ve heard my mom many times take the position that it?s great she died now because that is the only was she?ll get into the "New Order." Deep down I always felt that was a bit twisted. But my thoughts are with you and your family.

Tone of the current literature
by TheListener ini haven't started a thread in some time but this is something that has got me thinking.
i want to know if i'm off-base here or if others have noticed this too.is.. over the last several months (perhaps 6-9) i feel that the tone of the wts and kms have been very strong.
not strong in the sense of legalistic do's and don'ts but strong in the sense of do more!!!!

The tone is pretty much still the same I think. I?ve been taught my whole life, 30+, do all we can, the end is right around the corner. This same tone is still being delivered. But as we all know, since the invention of the Internet, information is more and more widespread. We all how powerful knowledge is and how detrimental it is to the WTBTS. In my area I see a lot going through the motions in fear of being DF?d.
