The Battery is almost Dead.
by KW13 infor over 100 years the same message of doom and gloom for the world has been preached with a twist.
if your a jehovah's witness you can be saved.. .
i think people are tired of expecting the end of the system, the older generation (there are more older ones than younger i am guessing) are seeing the end of their lives when they thought they never would and some of them probably think about the false prophecy.. .

SCotsman said,"Jehovahs organisation goes from strength to strength. Increase every year. Special tract campaign will help to sort the deserving from the not so deserving
I know of a lot of JW's who will be distributing this tract, who are not deserving!! How's it gonna sort them out? They really believe they have a one way ticket to the new system, but their actions prove otherwise.

Not good, not good at all
by lola28 inhi guys,.
sorry to burden you all with this but i really have no one that i want to talk about this with, i'm afraid that i will burst into tears and wont be able to stop if i call any of my friends and tell them what's going on.
my little sister has been ill with a fever for three weeks, her doctor kept telling her it was just a bad case of the flu and that she had an ear infection, he gave her antibiotics and sent her home.

bye bye
by Devilsnok inits time for me to move on.. some of you will know that recently ive really messed my life up.
i met a lurker on a dub site and while we started off as just friends we became a lot more.
over 3 months we hurt both our partners and ourselves and in the end she ended up running back to her rich boyfriend and cut me off completely.. ok i know that some of you embittered bible bashers just cant wait to reach for your keyboards and start condemning me save it!

Are Faders "better" than DF'd or DA'd?
by ESTEE inthis is something i've been mulling over.
just would like to hear opinions as to whether faders, or inactive ones think they are superior to disfellowshipped or disassociated ones?
what is your experience with this?
-
delilah
I have never felt superior to anyone, in all my life. I've been df'd twice, and reinstated both times. I left, or faded, over 8 years ago. I had enough of the bullshite, and never went back. I vowed to myself, this organization would NEVER hold that kind of power over me again, by dfing me. That's my story.
It was hard for a while, to ward off my mother's "encouragement" to go back to the KH. Then she moved away and we rarely see each other.
I know how I felt, when I was DF'd, so I would never think I was any better than someone in that situation. I would have, and do, have empathy, for those who are unsure of "what do I do now?"," who do I turn to now?"....as they haven't come to the "light" yet.

Just thought I'd share this with you.
by Jerohobobonadad ini was just browsing the excellent jwfacts.com site and it just clicked....jw is bloody cult!
it can't be anything else!.
as some may know i've only been around on here a month or so.

Welcome to the rest of your life...cheers!! Have fun, and enjoy. I always thought it was a bit harsh too, calling the JW's a cult. But they are.

Witnessing in public schools
by Why Georgia inlast night was my oldest son's open house at school.
he is in public school now, last year he went to the private christian school.. as we were walking by the pto raffle table, i saw that there was an information/brochure table too.
so i go over to take a look because i don't want to miss out on any information about the school or upcoming activities.. someone had placed a stack of watchtower's on the table.

Good for you Georgia....I don't think they have any rights to do that, especially now that they've taken the Lord's prayer out of the public school system, here in Ontario. For years I stood in the halls at school, cause we were not allowed to partake, and now the JW's want their religious paraphernalia in the schools? I think not!! I'd be pissed too...they got yarbles all right!!

What do YOU say to people in hopeless situations?
by AlmostAtheist insometimes you have a friend that falls on hard times.
their health fails, they lose their jobs, they spend their last dollar -- whatever.
they don't have anything good on the horizon.

My neighbour was recently diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, she has weeks to live. I've been making a meals for her, she has 3 daughters, who have been helping, but none of them can cook. She has an aid come in every day to help her personally, she can no longer walk etc. She is only 52. What do I say? A hug, some meals, "I'm sorry", all seems so futile. But she appreciates it. Sometimes, just being there, not knowing what to say, is all that is needed.
Sometimes actions, speak louder than words.
