Yeah, doesn't surprise me....they view it as "idolizing"...the bible tells us to "honor thy mother and father", then they say we can't celebrate Mother's day, Father's day or Grandparents' day.
They're completely daft at headquarters.
did anyone see the awake!
article that basically condemns 'grandmother's day'?
funny!

i know, it is america's most hated food.
people hear the name, and instantly they say, "that stuff is so sick!
" yet in the state of hawaii, it is the most popular food, bare none!

warning - do not read any futher if you have a weak stomach.......... .
a christian wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the kingdom hall every sunday.
GAG ME.....and to think that I once fed into all this crap......
lets say there is chance you have an illness and you can take a few blood tests that will tell you if you do in fact have this illness, would you want to know ?
keep in mind that there is no treatment and nothing you can do to "make it better", what would you do?
would you like to know or would you rather not find out ?.
Yes, I would need to know. That way, I could get my affairs in order, and do some of the things I'd always put off doing.
This is leading somewhere..........I sure hope everything is going to be ok, Lola?!
Hugs, Dee.
since tomarrow is thanksgiving, i was wondering what everyone is most thankful for this year?.
the top five things i am thankful for are:.
1. i am free from the wt.
Well, we've already had our Thanksgiving, but I'll tell you. I'm very thankful for good health, my home, enough food for my family; my family, especially those who are not JW's, my beautiful baby grandson, my good friend Mary, and you fine people here.
I'm glad I live in north America, as opposed to a third world country, or other, because we have more opportunities to live, grow and advance in life.
I'm thankful that my husband and I are able to provide for our children, a decent life, outside tha borg. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!

i finally had my baby, he was born on november 13th and weighed in at 6 lbs.
i am recovering great and daddy and big sis are all googly eyed over the new addition.
i would like to post some pics to brag about my beautiful new son, does anyone have any tips to help me post those pics?
AWwwww....he's beautiful....congratulations Snarf.. enjoy!!! and get some sleep, while he's sleeping.
* waves at Nosferatu*.......hi, good to see you, what's new lately???
i was feeling a bit guilty about celebrating as this is my 1st year out and i know the history of all the holidays and birthdays are pagan or bloody or idolatrous.. .
but i was thinking that it's not what someone made them in the past but what they are right now.. to us, at this moment.
am i going to sit down on thanksgiving.. and say, "i hate those indians, think i'll go kill some"..????
NO GUILT. ENJOY!!
