I'm sorry that no Witness "friends" came to support you, JH. That really sucks....especially since they brag about having the "Christian love thing going on". I've seen that very thing happen, many times, and that's what was really an eye-opener for me. The total lack of love and concern they display. (Not all, but many).
Well, know that you have many friends here, who do care, and who send you heartfelt sympathies. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( JH ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
P.S. How's your mother doing? Please give her my warm regards, and condolences.

DOES MONEY BUY HAPPINESS?
by Mary ini think most of us were probably trained to believe that money can't buy happiness, but is that really true?
i know i'd be a hell of a lot happier with more money....what about you?
of course, there are the big examples we all know of---people who had lots of money, fame, but they weren't happy.

I would be the same person, with money, as I am without money. I'm a happy person, and I don't need to be spending and buying, to make me happy. Having lots of cash would be nice though, so I wouldn't have to save every dime to make ends meet.

Within a blink of an eye....
by delilah inthursday evening, i came across a terrible accident, involving two cars.
there were two firetrucks, a first response truck, an ambulance, and about a dozen police cruisers.
there was glass all over the place, and you could smell the strong odour of an electrical fire.

Woofer said," I will gladly get up at 2:30 a.m. and go get him instead of getting a call telling me he died or worse, killed someone else.
Yup....me too. I'm the same way with my daughter...if she needs a ride after a night out with her friends, she'll call, instead of driving, or getting into a car with a friend who's been drinking. Why chance it?

So when do you put up your tree?
by restrangled ini hope you all had a great thanksgiving..... my husband was so inspired he went up to the attic and dragged down our tree the same day (the 23)... i have been decorating for 2 days serenaded by vince geraldi's charlie brown christmas music.
for some reason it feels extra special this year.
perhaps because after waffling for years with the witnesses i was finally able to let go this summer after finding this site.. so when are you putting up your christmas tree?.

delilah
We put ours up yesterday. This is the first year we've had a fake tree, but it looks very real!! I'm so excited about it....I love a real tree, just hate the mess of the falling needles.
I woke up early thismorning, turned on the lights on the tree, the lights on my staircase, and the arbor that divides my living room from my dining room.....put on my Christmas music and lit some earthy incense....and just enjoyed the magic, along with a mug of Butter Pecan coffee. Ah.....this is my little piece of heaven, this time of year.
