  It`s Time to Bitch about Gas!!

  i just had a big bowl of chili..but..thats not the gas i want to talk about..lol!

  !..........i went to the nearest gas station which costs me $7.00 in gas to get to..i couldn`t believe how much gas had gone up since i had been there last..$1.30 per litre!

  !..or..$5.20 per gallon for premium gas..outrageous!

  UPDATE ON DANSK

  it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.

  as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).

  last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.

  I'm very glad I was born, even though my parents decided to change religions before I became a teenager. Even though I suffered sexual abuse, at the hands of a family member. Even though I was df'd twice....( God, you'd have thought I'd have learned the first time?!)

  Even though I partially raised my 3 children in that cult....thank god we're out now, and have been for over 9 years!! My kids are happy and well-adjusted...

  Life is too short, and too wonderful, to worry about the past injustices that I may have suffered.

  If I had never been born, I would not be here, married to a super guy, have 3 children and a 2 year old grandson.

  I would not know the beauty of nature around me, the wonderful taste of a cheesecake, nor would I know the group of kind, and compassionate people here.........

  AND..........might I add, that you guys really are a wonderful group....the way everyone rallied around Core88....I just felt awesome, to "know" you guys....

  I'm GLAD you were all born. I love you guys.....

  What is the JW's take on pets?

  i have always loved animals and have had pets through out the years, so that got me thinking about my jw childhood, not to many dubs had pets, i remember only a small handful of dubs that had a dog.

  i wondered if there is a jw realted reason for this, so far the only thing that i can think of is that a pet "would take up valuable time that could be better spent on field service" .

  any one have some information on this?.

  The only thing I ever recall hearing, about the subject of having pets, was that they were to be taken care of, not mistreated, or taken for rides to the country to dispose of them. My sister-in-law has done this on a couple of occasions, because she grew tired of the dogs....and a cat.

  I remember the brother saying that a person could be held accountable for mistreating one of God's creations.

  I made sure I told my s/i/l about the comment...she pissed me off!!

  do you ignore them until they get over whatever is bothering them?

  Hey Lis..............yeah, she is insecure. Poor girl. Maybe you just need to let her know that, yes, you are good riends, but you just can't be together 24/7. That could ruin the friendship. Or at least create more problems.

  Tell her carefully, that you do have other friends who like your company, and you have to divide your time with them ,as well as make time for Oz and your family too.

  Everyone needs space, whether they realize it or not. I sure do. I love people, but I love my space too!!

  Good luck hon, I know it's not an easy situation.
