Give me ONE good reason why Adam could not have been black?
by nicolaou ini just read love2bworldys thread at did u know about the early white supremicist view of the jw's?
not wanting to hijack or divert that topic i ask the question here.. .
adam was the progenitor of the whole human race, from his genes sprang the negroid, caucasian, mongoloid, indo-european and every other race on the planet.

apparently, once you go black, you never go back???? i wouldn't know, of course. But i was under the impression that Adam was "redskinned" as the name means "from the earth"? and Job was oriental???just asking, that's all.

what's the worst?

my brother's best friend was also an elder, and he had been having an affairwith my brother's wife for over a year. He very slyly got drunk with my brother, and had him sign something saying he no longer wished to be associated with the org.this creep knew full well, that no-one would speak to my brother ever again, and he knew that his sordid affair with his "best friends" wife would be kept secret. however, in the meantime, this creep had to tell me about it, before my own brother got around to telling me, ??? he did that in order to get me involved, and have me DF'd for slander, I'm sure. In any case, he did have to "step down," and he was so angry that he cursed me, and told me that if he could not be an elder, he was wasting his time being at that KH. Ilaughed in his face, and kicked him off my property. I see he is back at it, kissing up to the powers-that-be, trying to get his position back. And his wife stands by his side, even tho' she was so angry with him that she left him for a few days bacause of his wrongdoing. They make me sick. oh, and the elders paid my sister-in-law a visit, and told her she had better not tell anyone or she would be in trouble for slander against an elder. My brother divorced her, remarried a "worldly" girl and is happy. his ex? she is unhappily remarried in the "truth". Hmmmmm...
p.s. the elder had to step down for getting drunk with my brother...Makes a lot of sense to me???NOT!!! Dee

when you were babtized and dedicated did you feel a void?
by swiftbreeze inthis has always troubled me:.
i was studying to be babtized although i was raised around the "truth" i still had to have an official study.
so i was taught that i had to go to jehovah in prayer stating my desire to be dedicated and babtized.

i was16 when i got baptized. my mother told me that if armageddon came and i wasn't baptised, that i would die. I really had no idea what i was getting into, as i paid more attention to what the elder's kids were getting away with at school, than i did to what was happening during the meetings. all i saw, were these kids who were dealing and doing drugs at school by day, and volunteering to give last minute talks at the Thursday night meeting. they were the first ones to be praised and invited out all the time. they pioneered and always having parties. so i decided to do what they were doing, they were having all the fun. So, needless to say, the day i was baptised, i was stoned out of my gourd.and yes i had tons of attention paid to me that day, then ti was"ok kid you're on your own now get busy pioneeringand doing for Jah".So i suppose it was inevitable, that one day i would be DF'ed, after all, i was baptised under the wrong circumstances, and for all the wrong reasons. When my daughter was 11, a group of girl's in our cong. were all getting baptised together. they bugged her to join them. I put my foot down and said "no way!" she thanks me to this day that i wouldn't let her do it. and half of those kids are all DF'ed anyways.I agree, no-one should be allowed to be baptised until they are in their 30's just like Jesus was.
Dee
P.S. every meeting day, while at school, i would think up excuses why i wasn't going to go to the meetings that night. When i look back on it, i know my heart was never in it. I was just afraid of dying at Armaggeddon. It's not right to scare and bully people into doing something , and i refused to do that to my children. ciao.

i just wanted to further say, that it's sad these boys couldn't find acceptace, either within their family or the congregation. All they wanted was to fit in, and unfortunately, the wrong type of people were only too glad to recruit them. It's disgusting really.

Most embarrassing time was when a pioneer sister and i went to a house. The doorknocker was a wooden woodpecker, you pull the chain, and it's beak pecked . Well she pulled it and the guy came to the door, wearing only a towel[he was VERY goodlooking] . She was so embarrassed that she blurted out 'nice knocker you have there', and i burst out laughing. Mary, you should know of whom i speak??? Holy Holly, Mother of God!!!!!!! I will never forget it, we just left him standing there, grinning LMAO

wow!!! Those poor boys! I can certainly understand their frustrations.. Talk about going from the frying pan to the fire!..My friend grew up in southern California, and got involved with the skinheads as a young teenager. He wanted to "fit" in with someone, and there they were. Ready to teach him all their beliefs and ideals. After a few years, things got so crazy, and he realized that they weren't his "friends". they left him out to dry a few times, after he took the fall for his "brothers". they stole everything he had, and lied to him. He finally got out and learned after that another friend went to prison for murdering a young man, just because he happened to be walking thru' the gay part of town. My friend tries to forget the past with the skins, as they were not who they professed to be. and they did the drugs, and dealt them and weapons. It's hatred of society is scary, and he doesn't want his sons to ever get involved with any skinhead organization. They changed over the years, becoming really violent and overly aggressive, from what he saw when he first got involved. Whatever happened to those boys???
