Kwin..yeah...about 3 years ago before I got this job I had 3 months in between gigs. So I spent 3 months at a glass studio. I had always wanted to learn. So I had a choice between piano lessons and glassblowing...so I picked the latter.
I'm not really all that artistic yet I am "handy". Kind of like shop class. I was always good at putting things togther or taking them apart. Maybe why the human body is natural for me. It's a bio-chemical machine of sorts.

Joel...my experience was similar to yours. I left 15 years ago because I didn't care if it was "da troof" or not. I knew it wasn't for me. Only 3 months ago did I stumble on this site and learn more about the falsehoods of the WTBS. I needed this info for my debate with my parents that they started a few months ago. It has been shocking in certain ways yet completely typical of many religions in others.
It has not shaken my belief system for myself I created after I left Dubdom. -

Being gay as a Jo Ho is one of the more difficult paths we have had to journey. As a fellow pillow biter I understand what you are going thru, and have done the boomer-rang thing going to school and then needing to go back to my parents for a summer session.
I too had never been molested or abused or sexulized either. I was batised at 16 and tried to never be gay again. Prayed every night for years asking for God to fix me. Why did he hate me so much. I was doing everything he asked. I had gotten baptized hadn't masterbated for almost a year and a half. Aux. Pioneered during summer months....went to all the meetings, etc... but I was still gay. Depression and suicidal thoughts were with me constantly. I would wish my teen years on no one.
There is a group of ex gay jw's too called A Common Bond. Not sure if you have heard of them.
When I faded I didn't care if the Dubs were right or not I didn't want to live my life that way. I have been at peace with my sexuality since I was 25. It sounds like you are pretty close to being free from all the B.S. guilt the WTBS pounded into our heads. Only recently when my parents wanted to debate "my lifestyle choices" did I do research into the JW's, the Bible & homosexuality, and this site. What I've always assumed about the bible and the Dub's and homosexuality was all quite wrong and twisted.
There are some good books out there too about "What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" and "Jonathan Loved David" and "The New Testament, What's it's Stance On Homosexuality". If you are interested I can send you more info on those books. It gives some good points to consider.
I have had many issues to overcome slowly peeling off the layers of Dub'ism. My trust issue being one of the last. Being gay as a teen, I could never slip up, never say something I shouldn't, never trust any other Dub with anything because they would rat you out. Any personal info you gave out could be used against you. This came back to haunt me in my various romantic relationships. But I digress.
Good for you and seeking your way. Do what you must to survive. I would try anything to avoid moving back in with ma and dad, but do not know all your issues. If you need to for 3 months or so maybe it'll be ok. Thanks for sharing your story! -

Keep my mind open? I would have to suspend all disbelief and dismiss all the scientific / biological information I have learned. I can do this for FICTION...but not for some jag bag trying to prove a "scientific" point. This is the biggest bunch of bullshite I have ever read. I want the 10 minutes of my life that I wasted reading that crap back. -

by embalmed inafter years of waiting, i finally turned 18. i remember distinctly that my mother said during an argument that i would not have to attend meetings once i turned 18. well that was a lie.
she denied ever having said such, and pulled the "under my roof" card.
so now she is saying i have to continue attending meetings until i move out.

New System Sewage
