Hibiscus, you think the teenaged Jesus happened to have a wet dream?
This would mean that he was unclean according to Jewish law. Hence, not perfect?

Was Jesus PERFECT in his human form?
by sinis ini know most christians say that he was.
however, i find it very intriguing that paul says in: romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of god" and again in romans 6:23 - "for the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of god [is] eternal life through jesus christ our lord.
" so was jesus an imperfect individual on earth and only through his offering up his body/blood by being faithful to the end was his offering deemed pure?

For Cali wine I prefer Paso Robles area wine. Great Zins.
For awesome Malbecs.....go Mendoza region of Argentina
Of course the Barossa Valley for Shiraz in Aussie rocks!!!
Spanish Tempranillos are good too.
In fact each country has their own wonderful traits. Wine is truly a global delicacy. :) -

Mormons and Ten Speed Bicycles.
by gumby inthe other day my work partner and i were driving back to the shop after finishing working and it was hotter than hell.
we see these two mormon boys doing their thing on their 10 speeds with their typical white shirts on.
they had helmets on too.. my friend says..."why in the hell don't they use cars?

I've only seen them use bikes myself. But I suppose since I'm in the city mostly they can use public transport. Plus a car is expensive to fuel, insure, repair + the payment itself. Most these kids are what? 18? 19?

Why Does The Society Pick BORING Books To Study At The Bookstudy?
by minimus inmy mom hates the daniel book and doesn't even remember studying it before.
(she's 79 today).
maybe she's losing it.....i don't think so.

I think they are boring because there is nothing new to learn. If you were learning anything new, it might be half way exciting.
But the old Freddy Franz....typical...anti-typical....a typical....delusions were also mind numbingly stupid. -

It wasn't JUST pornia....it was full on man to man action baby!!! Fornication, uncleaness, and abominations ALL AROUND!!!
Of course I did notice that JW's tended to have "small equipment". Maybe we need to do a Minimus type thread for a "size check"?

Muslim Extremists & JWs----Living A Double Life
by minimus inisn't it amazing to see how these people can mingle in society and in reality be living a double life?
they may be nice to your face but ultimately, they think we (those who do not conform to their beliefs) deserve death.

Yes JW's are two faced....but so are many "worldly" people.
But possibly with JW's and Muslims and other Fundy groups the double life is do to a "disconnect". When impossibly high standards are placed upon people somehow they need to "just get through the day" and revert to a "dual personality" as such. Using the scripture "be of the world, but no part of the world" they justify their actions. To them it seems quite sane, logical, and reasonable. To outsiders it looks sociopathic. -

saw a funny quirky little indie movie today....
by nowisee incalled "you and me and everyone else".. thoroughly enjoyable and had one scene that had my husband and i an everyone else in the theater literally howling.
the tears were coming down my cheeks from laughing and i had no kleenex.. anyone else see this?.
miranda july, who wrote, directed and starred has a wonderful bizarre mind.

Putting an offer on a home........(law ?)
by love11 into make a long story short- last saturday, we put an offer down on a house.
then sunday and mon.
we did some research on mortgages and decided that we could get a better rate of interest if we waited till next spring to buy a home.
-

If she emails you telling you it's been rejected you are ok.
But...use this as a learning experience. Never put an offer on a house you are not ready to buy....and make sure it's the one you want before buying it. Real estate laws vary by state. So what is common and accepted in one state may not be that way in another. Backing out of buying a house after an offer has been accepted can be an expensive ordeal.
Good luck !
