  i grew up in an emotionally constipated family.

  my parents didn't hug us or tell us they loved us.

  they were slightly affectionate with each other, but i don't think i ever heard them express their love for each other, in front of us kids.

  My family was very affectionate when I was growing up. We greeted and parted with kisses ALWAYS and sometimes it was accompanied with "I love you." My husband's family was exactly the opposite, and I had to train him to get with the program. Just the other day a neighbor was visiting when he came in from work. He walked in, said good evening and leaned down to kiss me hello. Her comment was, "I love the way he does that, it was a two-second kiss, but it was soo sensual. You guys are so inspiring." Not bad after almost 25 years!

  I've carried on the tradition with my children and I hope they carry it to their families. Yes, even as teenagers they kiss Mommy goodbye - even in front of their friends!

  Told my JW mom

  just wanted to let you all know about my phone call to my mom.

  she was telling me how upset she is that all three of her kids no longer are active jw's.

  i could no longer keep quite and i told her how upset am that she still is an active jw.

  this april will mark our 25th wedding anniversary.

  music has always been a part of our relationship.

  back in the day, my hubby spent a lot of time in the back room because of being a dj both at witness parties and in clubs around nyc.

  LonelySheep - Wow! I can't tell you what those 2 songs mean to me - to us!!! I remember being with him, PLAYING THEM ON 8-TRACK IN MY ROOM . . . memories . . . wow!!!

  That's what I was talking about . . . See 25 married years and four years KIDS (see how flustered I got) later . . . I suffer from CRS! I need reminders!!! (Wow! Is it gettin hot in here???)

  Jehover (for Jehovah) - sangwich (for sandwich) - Bictor (for Victor) - chew (for you)

  One of my favorites: irregardless! There is no such word - it's regardless - adding ir before doesn't make it any more less, it just makes you sound stupid to those of us who know!

  What about conversate - WHAT - the word is converse folks - no one conversates, they converse and have conversations!
