I went to the elders and confessed my sins and said I didn't want to be a witness anymore. I got drunk at an office Christmas party and had the best time ever. Since I worked with a witless, I knew she would find out eventually--so I told her. Then of course she threatened to tattle on me, so I turned myself in.

here goes..... i got a dozen roses with ballons the other day at work and it had type written on the card " to someone special ?
"that was on friday.... i called my x and ask others if they sent them to me and everyone said no......including my co workers then tuesday when i went to work, the florist brought me another dozen roses with a teddy bear and said he forgot to bring me the teddy bear on friday so he had a dozen roses a teddy bear and ballons again and the card read " thinking of you".... again didnt know who sent it... i talk to a co worker who is trying to make the moves on me and he said " do you want me to tell you the truth?
Cupcake--if the guy bugs you anymore, you might think about reporting him for sexual harrassment. It would serve him right to have that in his personnel file.
who possibly could fit the following descriptions:

well its seems my wife has hit a standstill with the dubs.

Gringojj--keep the anti-witnessing work up with your wife before she gets any more involved. Hopefully since she was never baptised, her mother won't shun her. I wish you the best and glad your wife at least listens to your information.

I think if God is up there, he will be much more judgemental of religions who are hypocrites and liars than the innocent people who have been deceived by their propaganda.
By the way, I was cracking up at your story about the elder coming over and you covered up the cigarettes but forgot about the flags! LOL Sorry but that's funny. Just be yourself, the sad JWs can never just relax and enjoy life. Wish you the best with your family members.
i have always wondered why the jw's don't have a playroom/area or offer kids activities during the meetings.
i would imagine it's been brought to the societys attention at some point.
it just makes so much sense to offer a place where kids and go and play, where they can be read to, have them sing, color pages on bible related stories etc..... .
Let's not forget the admonition to wait until the new system to have children. If they catered to families, wouldn't that be encouraging people to have babies like normal people do?

Happiness for me is: my hubby bringing me coffee in bed every morning, my kitty Baxter, my kids who have turned out wonderful even though my mistakes put them through a lot of crap, knowing my debts will be paid off next month and then I'm going on vacation! not sure where, maybe Hawaii
The biggest joy is knowing I left the BS society when I did, before I knew all the real goings on.
