What do women REALLY want?

ok, i've heard it all: sincerity, honesty, security, money, love, romance, flowers, poems, promises, and more.

but, in my arguably limited experience, i've been shot down while doing all of these (at differnt times obviously).

so, what do women really want?

A man who is confident, knows what he wants, has healthy self-esteem, not jealous/controlling, does not owe past-due child support!, a good father, does not carry a bunch of past relationship baggage around, knows how to make a woman feel special & loved.

Do You Live a 'Normal' Life?

Well I have come a very long way from where I was years ago as far as being a positive person. I try to think of negative experiences as something to learn from. It is definitely a challenge to think positive thoughts and experience some joy in your life when all through childhood you were told you were a piece of scum in so many words and then go through all the JW BS.

As far as being 'normal', what's normal for one person is not normal for another person. I figure I am a work in progress--I've come a long way baby, but I still have a long way to go.

Should I start posting dating tips?

many of us came out of the jws with very little dating experience under our belts (married or not), and a lot of us were very lost when it came to the opposite sex.

the wts didn't help us learn how to pick a woman, how to court her, or even how to have sex with her.

there's a lot of horror stories about first jw sexual encounters, and a lot of horror stories about dating after leaving the org.. i made it a goal to catch up on my dating experience after i deprogrammed myself, and i learned a lot about the competitive and tricky dating world.

let me start by saying that i have posted here before about my wacko sister -in-law.

this time it is bad.

we recieved a phone call from my husbands father on friday night asking about how we were and what we were up to ,no biggie just odd since its only maybe the second time in over a year that he has called.

I agree about going to the police before you do anything else. That way it will be on file, so if she shows up at your house and tries anything further they will be much more likely to arrest her. Leave a legal paper trail!!!!

Oh goody! It came out just in time after I sent in my letter of disassociation to my sister. So now she can treat me even more like 'a dog returning to its own vomit.'

but....i don't have anymore days off left so i get to drag my sick ass to work.

I used up ALL my leave time at work in November & December fighting bronchitis. Stay away from milk and all milk products like cheese until you are better--I did that, plus drank a lot of water and herb teas and it helped keep the mucous away.

Also--have you tried Mucinex pills? They work great!

where would you start?.

i guess you could write a whole book on what is acceptable and what's wrong, and the consequences to your actions.

you could also say all that you have to do and what you have to avoid..

One of the things I share with people when discussing the JWs and the Watchtower Society, is that one of their biggest flawed teachings, is that they basically teach that if you attend all their meetings, read all their literature, go door-to-door and fill out a report every month, and be a good little JW, MAYBE JUST MAYBE you "might be spared on the day of Jehovah".

Such a terrible, depressing, and frustrating way of life; to work so so hard for that unattainable salvation that you may or may not receive.

Oh I remembered another one. Some JWs would color Easter eggs, only they would do it several months after Easter and do it just for fun.
