I changed A LOT! I learned how to have fun, not hate myself, that there were good people that were not JWs (many many people way better in fact), that is was normal to want to get married and have children, that I didn't have to feel guilt 24 hours a day that I wasn't good enough for God, that I could be friendly to other people, man I could go on and on and on...

If JW's Should Be Accountable For Their Sordid History.....
by AllTimeJeff in....shouldn't christian religions of all persuasions be accountable as well?.
if this is insulting, it isn't meant to be.
former jw's all the time come here on this forum and others to hold the governing body accountable for teaching lies and holding on to a history, a tradition if you will, that embraces leaders like c t russell and j f rutherford, both of whom taught things that are almost entirely rejected by jw's today.

I believe all organized churches can be considered "cultish" and no I don't think JWs are the worst religion. I find it sad that mankind has not yet evolved enough intellectually to see how evil can be found in every religion, and that evolving spiritually and being a decent human being has nothing to do with belonging to a church.

July 15th WT- Don't Research " False Stories " - Inspired by Satan !
by flipper ini know the poster lost generation made a fantastic thread on this july 15th apostate article, however - i noticed some very powerful points on pg.
17 paragraphs 9 - 11 which weren't brought out that i feel needed to be touched on.
as was brought out in his thread this article told jw's to avoid apostates because they are " mentally diseased " allegedly and to avoid their web sites, not read their literature, watch t.v.

Social Isolation & The Witnesses
by minimus inthe truth is that jehovah's witnesses purposely try to insulate their own members.
they want their own to be "no part of the world".
they do not sanction unnecessary association with "worldly people".

I agree with jamiebowers-- you need to hire a lawyer and protect your parental rights. The courts do not look favorably on people who withhold their child from the other parent, and you may even have a case to get custody. I wish you all the luck, it's very painful when BS involves children--especially JW BS.
