Watchtower King with feet unstable
Reeled and pounded, pounded on the table
As hard as he was able with a BOOM, BOOM, BOOM
With whisky soaked voice he declared: I have had a vision.
I saw the Watchtower creeping through the black
Cutting through the world like a golden track
With unwashed legions following rank on rank
Lurching bravos with Watchtowers held high
Passing out books the whole world ore
Every household sent its half-a score
Fanatical thousands shrieked and sang
Big voiced lasses and bullnecked men
Loons with phonographs booming a blare, blare, blare
And Rutherford groaned for more

Question about reaching out to old friends
by zamzummim inhi all, i have a quick question about reaching out to old friends you used to know.
i was able to do some research on the internet and came across the name of an old friend of mine from when i was a jw.
there was actually quite a bit of information about his life and he's no longer married to the woman he was married to when we were both part of the org.

The "twisted sister" who introduced my wife and I to each other took it upon hersrelf, after we were married, to ring up my mother and law(a non JW who had no love for the witnesses)and tell her I was a wife beater.
I took it to the congergation overseerer(there was no body of elders at that time)who infromed me there was nothing that could be done, my word aginst her's. My wife didn't count since she was not baptized. She sure counted when they wanted to make sure her ex had remarried. Didn't want me commiting the big "A", gotta keep the cong.clean.

What went against your nature
by Satanus inin the dub life, some things that were against my nature that i did were giving talks, door to door selling, classroom debates, exclude myself from school activities, shunning dfd ones, not doing the pagan/christian celebrations, and um,, abstaining from sex.
on the other hand, some stuff i liked was studying some of the ideas in the books, although my enjoyment of this tapered off.
i sometimes enjoyed arguing doctrine and attacking evolution.
