Other places to see, if you are in the mood for a scenic drive:

Moab, Utah has some incredible scenery: Arches National Park, Castle Valley, to name two.

Drove thru there this past summer, wish i had stayed longer....

Northern Colorado through the Rockies is simply awesome!

Giver yourself plenty of time, don't rush through everything...

anybody been following the development and release of this movie?.

an 'r' rated jesus film, one that portrays a no holds barred depiction of the the beatings, the whippings, and the execution.

all dialogue is in the 'original' languages (at first it wasn't supposed to be subtitled, but mel gibson finally caved in on this point.

Advance word is that this is a real experience. Gives new meaning to "Christ suffered and died for our sins." Some of the imagery is said to frighten and horrify the Be-Jeezus out of people (no pun intended).

Anyway, I'm going to see it. Anybody else?

Yes, in "The Onion Field", one of the police officers is married to a Witness. The Witness wife doesn't actually appear in the book, but is just referenced. I don't know about the movie.

In another Wambaugh novel, "The Choirboys", one of the cops in the story is in a miserable hen-pecked marriage to an overbearing "Jehovah's Witness wife"; In the course of the plot, one of the members of the squad has been playing a prank on the rest of the squad members, by having someone called "The Dragon Lady" making late night phone calls to them, talking "dirty" to them. This poor guy gets the call, gets all worked up, then tries to do something about it by trying to have sex with his "Jehovah's Witness wife", who hauls off and punches his lights out.

There have been other Witness wives in his books, "Light and Shadows" had one, I believe. They are always portrayed in a negative light....

so sad..........arrest warrants were just executed against him for multiple counts of child molestation.

as a mom i am deeply appalled, as an ex witness i am saddened at his lack of power over his own life and ability to move forward, beyond the scarring of an abusive upbringing.

Maybe this time, he is so hard up for cash, he sells the rights to Beatle's catalog back to the Beatles and survivors, where they belong.

My day took a really neat turn....

i have been travelling this week for my company.. i was due to fly from nashville to newark through chicago today, but the flight was oversold.

the gate agents were begging for anybody to take a later flight to chicago, offering incentives, but since delaying my connection would have brought me in way too late, i wasn't interested.. then they announce that those of us who are flying to newark could instead fly to la guardia (new york city), with an upgrade to first class and a three hundred dollar travel voucher.

I thought the season started in the late winter.

Also, this was supposed to be the last season, but they will film ten more episodes, but after a two year hiatus.

And I don't ask for phone numbers from women who are already involved, as was pretty apparent from here cell phone conversation. Besides, my wife would kill me!
