  Is anyone else hoping for the Society to "crack down" on the friends?

  there have been a few threads speculating about possible future actions by the society, triggered in part by the "valueless things" article and losch's alleged new light re: bablylon the great.

  personally, i hope they do something crazy and make up some new unscriptural doctrines and/or rules.

  this may help some of my family members to "see the light," so to speak.

  Hi Mr Flipper -- I agree 100% with what you said. I can talk til I'm blue in the face to our JW relative, but I think until something "personal" happens to him, he'll keep buying the lie. So sad!

  On Sunday.....are the 2 hours (9:30-11:30) devoted just to Public Talk?? If not, can you break down these 2 hours for me? What exactly takes place?

  Sun. 9:30 - 11:30 -- Public Talk and WT study

  2:00 - 4:00 -- Field service

  Mon. (after work) -- Study for your Tues. night book study, work on preparing any upcoming parts you many have been assigned.

  Tues. 8:00 - 9:00 -- Book study

  Wed. (after work) -- Study for Thurs night meeting and work on parts assigned.

  Thurs. 7:30 - 9:30 -- Ministry School and Service Meeting

  Sat. Morning -- Field Service, return visits.

  Sat. evening -- Study for Sunday's WT lesson

  So.....Michael the Archangel - turned - Jesus - turned - Michael the Archangel is going to turn once again into Jesus when He returns to earth. Makes your head spin!

  Please clarify this for me:

  Didn't Jesus, according to WTS, turn back into Michael the Archangel after he was crucified?

  As one of my friends pointed out:

  1 Cor. 11:26 " For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes". Since JWs believe Jesus ALREADY returned in 1914, why do they have Memorials w/ bread & drink?? Lavendar

  when i look back, i think of some things that really angered me about the organization.

  i was raised as a witness and i was taught from a very early age that "reaching out" was the most important things i could do in life.

  i was to reach out for "privileges" and get baptized.

  #1) i don't know when the memorial is ...... and #2) i'm planning on having a family get-together dinner at the end of this month, but i don't want to choose the evening of the memorial; because our two jw relatives wouldn't be able to attend our dinner on that day.

  It's so sad that the JWs commemorate Jesus's DEATH......but true Christians commemorate or celebrate His LIFE and RESURRECTION.
