  my family member says he only attends two meetings per week.

  and only goes out on field service whenever he wants to.

  are some halls less strict than others?

  it was a husband & wife, and they started their shpeel.

  i asked if they were witnesses.

  i told them my son is a witness, so years ago i started doing quite a bit of research about their organization.

  i would like to email some (hopefully) "eye-opening" information to my jw family member....and i would like to do this anonymously.

  i have opened another generic email account.

  1) can emails somehow be traced back to the sender??.

  What will they say as to why they don't celebrate ThanksGiving??

  i plan on inviting a close family member ..(who has been a jw for several years).. to share thanksgiving with us this year.

  my husband and i have never been jws.

  what exactly is a jw's reason for not taking part in thanksgiving??.

  my husband and i (never-been-jws) drove past our family member's kingdom hall the other day.

  we saw him out front with several other guys mowing the lawn, trimming, sweeping, etc.

  the thing i'm wondering.....does that mean he's a ministerial servant now?

  for those of you who started studying with the watchtower society as an adult (not born in)......did a friend or family member ever try to dissuade you from joining?

  if so, what did you think of that person at the time?.

  Let me ask you guys something.....

  .....my son and his wife are both jws and have been for years.

  the wife has pioneered for years, but i don't think she is now b/c she currently starting working.

  they have been talking about taking a vacation (something that they've never done).

  JWs can become anointed at any time??

  someone in a previous thread stated this regarding the "new light" on the 1914 teaching:.

  people can still become anointed at any time.. .

  i'm curious (as usual).........how do these jws know they're anointed?
