For those of you going to meetings, assemblies or conventions, try this.....
by awildflower inthe last official 'meeting' i went to was in january at our two day assembly.
believe me i didn't want to go but i did and took a different kind of notes.
for one i wrote down in my note book words like "faithful and discreet slave", gb, organization, fruits of the spirit, jesus, and put a check mark next to each time i heard one of them, (just like when we were kids guys!).

Oh ya, my 18 year old son who was with me, during the Baptism talk, actually for the first time heard the second question and I did to. We never even caught that until now.
What was the "second question" during the baptism talk, wildflower? (I've never been a JW....so I don't know these things)

So glad you found your way OUT of the WTS. Thank God for your 17 year old! Sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders!

It's not fair
by Luo bou to incut off from my family rejected by my wife ( spiritual endangerment ) and there was and still is not a damn thing i can do about it.
pisses me off.... no justice.
hey i am not looking for sympathy my life is pretty good its just frustrating to have family that are not dead yet might as well be..

Grace, I know on Facebook not just anyone can assess your profile. The person has to be accepted by you as a "friend" before they can see your information. I don't know about My Space.
It's just incredible to me the extremes the WTS goes to control its members! I wish more JWs would wake up and realize how deeply the WTS has taken over their minds. The mind is a terrible thing to waste on the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society!

A JW gives blood to her baby but is against blood transfusions?
by cognac inwell, a jdub was telling me a story that when she nursed her son her nipples were so sore that they cracked and literally bled when she was feeding her son.
she said it was so bad that when he would spit up it would sometimes have blood in it.
how is that different then having a blood transfusion?

Breast milk already contains WHITE BLOOD CELLS. Thousands of little JW babies are getting the very thing that the WTS condemns. So....why don't they allow it for needed transfusions??

Even though breast milk is known for being nutritionally-perfect, perhaps the most amazing characteristic about breast milk is its ability to fight off and protect babies from illness. In fact, some have said that the antibodies in breast milk make it more like human blood since they both contain white blood cells.
Here are just a few of the many antibodies contained in human breast milk and what they do to mobilize the baby's immune system:
Antibodies - White blood cells
- B lymphocytes - forms antibodies that target specific microbes
- Macrophages - destroy microbes in baby's stomach
- Neutrophils - may act to ingest bacteria in baby's digestive system
- T lymphocytes - kills infected cells and send out messages to mobilize other defenses; also produce compounds that activate baby's immune system
Antibodies - Other Molecules
- Antibodies of secretory IgA class - bind to harmful cells in baby's digestive system to prevent them from passing through the walls of the gut into the tissues of the baby's body
- Bifidus Factor - increases growth of Lactobacillus bifidus - which is a good bacteria
- Fatty Acids - destroys cell membranes around harmful cells to kill them
- Lactoferrin - Binds to iron which prevents harmful bacteria from using the iron to grow
- Mucins - attaches to bacteria and viruses to prevent them from clinging to mucousal tissues
- Oligosaccharides - adheres to bacteria and other harmful cells to prevent them from attaching to mucosal surfaces.

Geeez, megaflower.....can't a JW have ANY interests outside the Organization???? I know they are a extremely controling group, but can't a member have any hobbies or interests not religious-related??
