  Circular meetings

  dont you love it when you go to the meeting only to hear them talk about why you should be at the meetings?.

  basically this is the point:.

  "it is important for us to be at the meetings so we can be reminded about coming to the meetings.".

  after a recent 'spiritual' discussion with a relative, it hit me that so much of the jw terminology is not to be found anywhere in the bible or, at best is taken totally out of context.

  yet, it's by these terms & titles that jws approve and condemn each other, the entire world, and worse believe that god even cares!.

  i can just imagine someone at the pearly gates, explaining to peter: 'yeah, but i was a "pioneer!".

  Do world events preoccupy you?

  when you read the news on the net or tv or in the news paper, do you get worried about war, oil prices, ozone depletion, species dying, and the list could go on and on, or are you just numb about it?

  i found these 2 forums, and they really think that the end is close, and they aren't jw's !!!!

  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  i thought i would troll down to e-watchman and ended up at the greasy spoon 'paradise cafe' link then i was re-directed to e-jehovahs-witnesses.com.

  now that he has at last got his self righteous come-uppance and been booted out of the brownies it looks like he is trying to be an alternative jw.com, but will fail just as his ramblings have failed him.

  GaryBuss: My association was absolutely worthless to the Jehovah's Witness community and my association is not wanted in some rather large former Jehovah's Witness circles. On that level, I've even failed as a former Witness.

  I am more concerned about your path to recovery. Does that mean that you have to:

  1. Repent of your apostate apostate ways; turn around and become a normal apostate.
  2. Then, Repent from those apostate ways; turn around and become a reinstated jw?

  Actually, mathematically the apostasy from the apostasy should be a complete 360-degree turn. This in and of itself makes you eligible for jw re-instatement.

  You have found the perfect loophole. Your apostasy from an apostate group completely nullifies your initial apostasy from the jws.

  (And you thought the 1914 thingy was hard to come up with!)
