Boy! Do women love to talk!
by Maverick in"we need to talk"!
men hate to hear those four words coming off of their gf's pouty lips.
we know what they are really saying is, that they need to chew our butts and we need to take it!

That's funny! I think I talk a lot, but when I'm angry I actually clam up. It's still obvious I'm angry though, because of the look on my face.

yes, it actually strengthened my faith, as sick as that sounds
Ditto for me. I was terrified. I wrote in my diary a few days later, tearfully, that I was going to do better in the field ministry, to strengthen myself so I could be approved by God, and to help others too. Blech.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
by whyamihere inas a child, what did you want to be, when you became an adult?
if you could, would you want to go back in time, and become what you wanted to be in the first place?.
as a child, i wanted to be a florist.

Thanks for the good wishes, Brooke! I'm really happy about this. Just a few years ago, I never dreamed this would be possible. My boyfriend is so supportive of me too, and my father is thrilled. He always had the highest hopes for me, and he was disappointed when I started pioneering(but he never let on).
I had a hot student teacher...Mr. A. All the guys were jealous of him, but the girls loved him. He was in my english class. He couldn't hide those rippling muscles under that suit...wow...is it hot in here? Ahem!

When I was little, I really, actually wanted to be a missionary. I know, loser! But I've always had a love for language, so I wanted to go, learn a foreign language, be in a different country, that type thing.
Then when I was in high school I wanted to be a hairstylist, but my mom discouraged me. I was determined until she said, "Sister such-and-such in Brooklyn says they need hairstylists. Maybe you could go to Bethel!"
That was the end of that.
Now, I want to be a high school teacher(history). I'm starting at the beginning of my college career.

I'm having a stressful day. But work is almost over, and I may take a walk, but I know at some point I'm just going to go home and sleep. I need the rest.

Fear of the big "A"
by Chia ini went to a friend's house last night.

i told him i no longer feel that the witnesses have the truth.

Well a lot of people have some very good thoughts. I want to thank Nathan for the good laugh. When you put it that way, yeah, it does sound kinda ridiculous! But my whole life, I have been "eating hot dogs without condiments" so to speak. LOL. When you get that first taste of mustard it's a bit frightening.
I also think M.J. and Java had some good points too. Psychologically, I am very beaten and abused. It will take some time to get over this fear. One thing I know, as PaulJ and others attested to, is that I am definitely not alone. I'll get stronger with time. It really hasn't been that long since I've stopped going to meetings either, only about a month. So the doctrine is still deep within me, even though I don't believe what they say, and their actions prove they aren't what they say they are, it's still hard to change 22 years of thinking. I'm glad I'm getting out early. I can't imagine being, say, my mom's age and finding this stuff out.

Wow, Brenda, that's powerful. You went through your own personal Armageddon. That's an interesting way of looking at it. Thank you for sharing that. That left a powerful impression on me.

How will having no "judicial" action taken against you protect you from the big A, if it were to really happen? According to dubs, J reads people's hearts too. He doesn't just kill the people that are DFd and DAd.
Good point Rebel. I have thought about this point in the past, and it only makes me feel like, "Well, damn, it's all worthless then, isn't it?" And I just suppress it more. I really need to actually OVERCOME the fear.
