  i was laying in bed last night mulling over this whole preaching work is done thing, and armageddon is near.

  so obviously in 5-10 years when the earth is still here and 'hova still hasn't come in all his glory...they're going to deny ever having said anything to that effect.. so i thought, ''how do we make them remember?

  '' then i realized...the media!

  I think this is an awesome idea if they put something down in print. I doubt they will though.

  They really don't need to. Think of all the dubs who are going into a frenzy over this email that's been circulating and the talk at the ''special day'' assemblies about the preaching work being finished.

  I'd bet you money that if we took this to headquarters and the media confronted them about it, they'd yell, ''We never said 'nuthin! We're not promisin' nuthin'!'' Because they sure as hell aren't going to promise in front of the entire world that the end is ''right around the corner''. I think they learned their lesson on that back in '75.

  So then imagine that you're a faithful dub, excited that the end really is right around the corner, ''cuz the FDS said so''....and then you see them denying it right on tv, the radio, and the papers. Can you imagine? There would be some confused angry dubs.

  I was laying in bed last night mulling over this whole preaching work is done thing, and armageddon is near. So obviously in 5-10 years when the earth is STILL here and 'Hova STILL hasn't come in all his glory...they're going to deny ever having said anything to that effect.

  So I thought, ''How do we make them remember?'' Then I realized...the media! Tell every newspaper, tv stations, radio station...anyone that will listen, that another cult is proclaiming the end is here and this isn't the first time they've done so. Give them the audio transcripts, circulating emails, '75 ''doomsday'' articles...anything. That way the ''world will be watching them''...only for real this time.

  Is this possible? Or too far fetched? I like thinking it's possible.

  When the speaker said the GB felt the end was near, the first thing I thought was, ''Yeah, the end of their fat paychecks.'' lol.

  You know what's awesome about this? Since this file gives the exact year text and scripture, you can go back and look it up in about 5 years and ask any dub, ''So where is it?''

  Besides, I always thought the end was supposed to come ''like a thief in the night'' when noone was expecting it.

  ok , its time for me to share my new found epiphony,, my bro gave me a dvd to watch, and i honestly can say it is the best thing i have ever come across in my entire life,, it basically is about positive thinking ,, explaining the law of attraction , and how everything you think about and focus on will manifest,,, good or bad.. it all seems to be comon knowledge but just gives you that extra nudge in the right direction to have a positive attitude and start to make some real acheivements towards being you.

  i personally have found it very benificial and i took it to my aunty who has had very bad depression for over 4 years.

  within 5 mins of the dvd starting , she was like , omg, that is exactly how i feel, and when it finnished , she was back to the same aunty i always knew she was , bubbly , happy .

  I remember when I was in the Borg growing up, whenever attendence was down, they elders always made it a point to remind us that what if the great tribulation began tonight....we would be the only ones who knew where the next secret meeting would be held and those not here would be left outside ''gnashing their teeth and weeping''.

  Don't forget about the loyal FDS who trekked 100 miles both ways through the jungle, only to be stopped by guerrila warriors or whatever. When the guerillas ask who they are they say, ''Jehovah's Witnesses'' and there's always at least ONE guerilla who's aunt/cousin/baby's momma daddy is a JW and they say, ''They are good people. Let them pass.''

  Oh....and one of the guerillas always becomes interested, leaves the warriors, studies, gets baptized, and runs into above said brother at some convention/assembly down the road and they cry and hug.

  Gag me with a spoon.

  My most favorite commercial ever...

  i'm normally a somewhat cynical person and tend to be annoyed by commercials....but the first time i saw this commercial, i dropped what i was doing and had to watch it.

  then i had to get on the internet and find the extended version.

  i don't know if it's the music, the color, or just the beauty of it all combined, but this is the only commercial that can bring tears to my eyes everytime i watch it.. oh....and the song is ''heartbeats'' by jose gonzales.

  I can't believe I actually just read that...My niece was in the hospital intensive care unit for over a week because of a guy who was ''one beer over''. With all the people in this world who have lost someone to a drunk driver, I can't believe you just said that.

  i had a complete blast on new years!

  matt and i went to a bar with one of my girlfriends and she and i drank the night away.

  matt was the dd, and we kept trying to get him to do shots with us and toast the new year, but he always declined.

  I had a complete blast on new years! Matt and I went to a bar with one of my girlfriends and she and I drank the night away. Matt was the DD, and we kept trying to get him to do shots with us and toast the new year, but he always declined. I found out later that he only nursed 2 beers the entire night...I on the other hand downed a pitcher and a half of beer, 2 shots of goldschalger, 2 jaeger bombs, and some champagne at midnight...I was blitzed to say the least. So when it was time to go home, I passed out in the passenger seat and he drove us home. So at some point I wake up and notice that we're not moving, and there are flashing blue lights behind us. So I start freaking out, but Matt assured me it was no big deal. Apparently I had a headlight out and that's why we got pulled over. The cop was in his car at the time running Matt's license. So the cop comes back and shines the light in my face. He starts laughing and says, "Drink a little too much there tonight dear?" I just laughed and said yeah. He let us go with a warning since we were less than a mile from home, and this little piece of advice. ''I've pulled a lot of people over tonight, and you two are among the very few that I haven't had to arrest. It's a very simple thing to do, get a designated driver, but you'd be suprised at how many people say, 'oh i'm fine! i just had a few beers.' Then I'm the one that has to go tell their mom, dad, wife, husband that we found their car wrapped around a tree down the road. You two are smart kids. Keep it up!'' So here's to everyone who's ever been a designated driver! I salute you! ~luv, jojo
