United Penticostal Church preach the oneness of God in their church! Down where I live there are two churches right by each other, the United Penticostal Church and the Kingdom Hall and they are quite different but share that same principle belief that God and Jesus are separate! I know they disagree on who Jesus is, one says he's Micheal the arc angel and the other says that God is Jesus, the son is Jesus, and the holy spirit is also Jesus! I was brought up Catholic and so I am a favourite target of most Religions but I'm prowd of being who I am! It's really hard to find who has all the answers but so far I'd have to say I'll remain where I am because from what I see nobody has all the answers! Right! |

why do so many religions claim that Jesus is God?
by evergreen inhi everyone, i have often wondered why so many religions view jesus as being god.
every website i look up claiming to be the christian faith strongly believe that this is the case.. i mean the actual trinity doctrine didnt come about untill about the 3rd or 4th century and was originally the catholic church that brought it about.
although jehovahs witnesses seem to push jesus into the background a lot which is something that has always troubled me.

This is right out of the New World Translation Bible!
(John, Chapter 6 verse 52 to 56) explain the Catholic view on Holy Communion! The Body and Blood is transformed at the Comunion table and all Christians churches around the world believed this too, until about maybe two or three hundred years ago or so whenever the Protestants came into being! This is true! Please read it for yourself!!!!!

Grey Eyes, I'm glad that you found this site and there are a lot of other sites also so do look around! I'm sorry that you seem to have had it with Religion but you can still have a personal relationship with Jesus and I think you'll find that God is everywhere so find a good church that allow you to also have your own mind without using mind control to make you do things that you can do on your own after all we were made to have a free will! Good luck!

I might try that someday, drop in on them unexpectedly, but I already have my eyes opened to them! Thanks for the tip! You might say I'm sort of interested in them because they are so different and there's not a lot of knowledge of their church service, since most people are not Jehovah's Witness and they don't know much about them except that they're a cult or you'll hear "don't have anything to do with them"! I know a bit about their doctrine from reading on the internet and I do have a nephew who is a Jehovah's Witness but his wife is not and that is a problem for that family! I have a friend who is in the same boat! She's a Witness and her Witness friends come around to hang out with them! I'd like to know as much about them as possible but I don't think you can deprogram them after they are active Witness's!

Papal ceremony fairly ludicrous for Christians?
by Qcmbr infor anyone who is a catholic stop reading now - i'm about to mini vent.
i don't doubt that the recently departed pope had many redeeming qualities and this post has nowt to do with him as a person.
i cannot get away from the fact that the pomp and ceremony of the catholic church (including the regalia) is so far away from the humble woodcarvers son and his example.

On Bernard Law, if he knew and protected sexual preditors, be that a Priest or anyone else, they should pay for that crime and if not on earth then he will have to answer for that to God himself! As far as the Pope is concerned, only he could have justify his way of thinking but I would give him the benefit of the doubt! I apologize for sounding off at Jehovah's Witness but they do think themselves the one true religion and all the other thousand or so other religions are wrong! I don't think so!

Is this what I would learn, if I became a Jehovah's Witness? .....to disrespect other religions and to disrespect the Pope who just died? The Pope was a great leader and he died the way we should all hope to die and that is with great dignity! I find that most Jehovah's Witness have no respect for Catholics and the Pope and that comes from the top so why is this? Does not God want everybody to respect all people, especially the dead?

The Pope and JW Urban Legend

he was elected in 1978, and died 33 days later, leading the way for pope john paul ii.
(now maybe that was a conspiracy)

One thing I find and I don't think anyone will disagree with me, and this comes from the top, is that most Jehovah's Witnesses have no respect for the Catholic Church, as well as other churches and have nothing good to say about the Pope even after the man just died! You guys shouldn't be cutting up other Religions without knowing your facts as oppose to listening to false things being said! How can you know something about a religion or person if you're just making a judgement from a distance! Sorry to raise this up but I can't help defending someone like the Pope who definitely lived a Godly life!
