it seems as though many people come to this board and leave in a short space of time.. it's a pity.. there are people on this board who are very nice and polite even when discussing various views.

this leads to understanding and concern.

i would like to meet you people.. please post in here.. i term nice as being kind, not cursing, love for god almighty, thrives on the right things in life, not hurting other's feelings, etc.. blessed star

a few years ago, infact quite a few years ago, i was working in fs with a particularly arrogant jw, name of mr spong.. there had been a case of a young boy of about 9 years old who had been sexually assaulted and murdered by a pedophile/homosexual man and this was in all the national press.

bro.

spong's presentation was on the bible and if it was relevant in todays world.

Homosexuality does not mean pedophile/murderer!!

You don't see them saying all straight men who have sex before marriage should be stoned incase they decide to assault a little girl!

How have you coped since leaving?

i noticed that many different people have coped in many different ways, i believe this reflects the fact we all have left or been kick out for different reasons.

what have you done since leaving?

have you joined another church, are you athesitc?

How can you cope?? If someone knows the answer please by all means let us know!

I don't think there is anything that can prepare you for what leaving an organization like the WTBS is going to be like. To be totally honest, I don't think there is anything you can really do to ease that pain.

I just take one day at a time. I am so lucky to have my darling hubby who not only was/is my shoulder to cry on but he also helped me to branch out and make new friends amongst some of his own friends.

All the new friends in the world will not replace the friends and family I have lost. You just have to come to terms with that. Life isn't fair. Jehovah's Witnesses are not fair.

I think the one thing that keeps me from going off the deep end is the thought that it could be worse! I mean really, in the grand scheme of things, I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach and air in my lungs. I can't ask for more than that.

My neighbours two year old will absolutely NOT let me do laundry if she doesn't get to help... she is so adorable, she is always trying to be of assistance.

Sometimes when I am making dinner, I will put on her fav "Baby Einstein" Movie to entertain her untill supper is done, almost everytime when she figures out I am cooking, she wants to help instead.

What a cutie!
